Upon completing our university education, Simon and I obtained our marriage license.

When Simon emerged from his ablutions, I was reclined on his mattress, snugly enveloped in his coverlet, feigning slumber.
“Lola?”
A tender peck delicately alighted upon my cheekbone.
I experienced a slight tingling sensation, my lashes quivering faintly, yet I persisted in keeping my eyes
shut.
Simon appeared to emit a soft chuckle and kissed me once more before lifting the duvet to join me.
However, the moment he raised the blanket, his entire form became immobile.
“Lola…”
The warm–hued nocturnal illumination extended gently, encompassing my entire physique, the pearlescent sheen glimmering subtly near my ear and
tresses.
Amidst the elevations and depressions, the 1 ht also cast alternating patches of luminosity and obscurity.

Extensive swathes of ebony and ivory, interspersed with pale crimson. It was as alluring as scarlet cherries upon a platter of white jade and agate.
Initially, I felt exceedingly timid and apprehensive, my limbs rigid. Yet upon observing Simon’s countenance at this juncture, that nervous sensation abruptly dissipated.
I sat upright and flung myself into his embrace, encircling his neck with my arms. Akin to that evening in his dormitory, I leaned towards his ear.
“Simon, do you find it pleasing? Your gaze appears quite entranced…”
I could sense the tension permeating his entire being.
