Chapter 11- betrayed–1
My whole body hurt. It felt like I had fallen off the roof.
“You’re awake” it was Eric. He looked at me apologetically.
“Where is this place?” I looked around the foreign place. I had never been to these parts of the pack before…
He didn’t answer, instead he walked out, leaving me in a foreign place.
I looked around, going to open the door. It was locked. I pulled it a couple of times, ready to leave.
Still nothing.
“Ahhhhh!!! Why!! Why does nothing ever go my way!!” I was at the point of tears. “I just want to go out, I want to be free, is it so much to ask?”
I sat in the corner of the place. It reeked in here.
The minutes passed by before the swung open revealing an angry Kaden along with my bag.
I rushed towards the door.
“Why the hell would you keep me here, let me go!” I said walking past him.
He led me by my arm, dragging me back rather forcefully.
“Explain this,” he said in a rough tone.
I looked at him with a defying stare.
“You don’t tell me what to do,” he tightened his hold on my hands to the point that it hurt. “Kaden, you’re hurting me,” I said trying to remove my arm from his hold.
He said nothing, looking straight at my neck. He took a hold of my face, aggressively shoving my neck to the side, exposing the side of my neck where my mark was.
“I know you haven’t found another mate” I paused looking at this man who had gone

psycho. “You’ve been practicing magic haven’t you, I sensed it the other day”
I shoved him away angrily, getting back on my feet immediately as I had fallen right on my butt.
“You’re sick, you know I don’t even know anything about that not after….” I took a deep
breath.
“Then explain it, explain how and why your mark is fading. The only other possible
explanation is magic,”
I thought back to the presence I always felt when the pain became unbearable. I said
nothing about it. He wasn’t going to try and understand me anyway so why bother?
“Maybe the moon goddess has seen after all that we were a mistake. That I deserved
better. Not this, and she has accepted to end it.” I said with so much spite.
I saw his eyes flash a bit before he slapped me. Or at least I thought he did. The side he
had hit was throbbing, I touched it, liquid substance covered my hands. I looked at it, my
hand shaking from what I had felt.
I paled, looking at my fingers that were covered in crimson red. He had used his claws to scratch me. I looked at him, hoping he would look apologetic, that he didn’t mean it. When I looked up, I found no remorse in his eyes.
“You just..” he touched me, not at all in a romantic or calming way, but instead, in a
fierce and in a way that screamed he wanted to hit me again.
“You really did something. Your body doesn’t respond to me anymore. You would have
healed by now. You used magic to block off your emotions, didn’t you?”
It was a common thing for rejected mates to do, but it kind of hurt that he thought that I would go that way.
“Let me go Kaden, or else….”
“Or else what? You would do what exactly?” he said in a mocking voice, moving closer to
my personal space.
For some reason, I wasn’t scared. I couldn’t explain why, but I just wasn’t.

“You’ve grown some balls.” He said touching the wound, causing it to burn. I bit my lips. “Too bad you’re still a weak wolf, unchanged.” I felt my wolf stir a bit. It couldn’t do any other thing.
I was both frustrated and annoyed.
“Since you’re so hell bent on defying me, I think you would stay here, in this cellar, with no food or water. Let’s see how defiant you can be.” He said, smiling at me like he had
won a trophy.
