He moved to walk out before he stopped, looking at me with a knowing look, “And Lucia? Don’t think I would not find whatever spells you’re hiding… and I suggest you hold whatever food supplies you have in there close to you” he smirked. 

Bastard, he had removed them, I rushed towards the bag, sifting through the bag for all the emergency snacks I had packed. I saw none. 

“FUCK YOU!!” I banged the door with all my strength to the point that my wrist started bleeding. “Fuck you! You’re nothing but a weak controlling fucker and I wish you die!!!!” I knew he was out of hearing range but that didn’t stop me. 

A few minutes later I had accepted my fate. I sat in the corner, looking everywhere, which in reality wasn’t enough to look at. It was a four corner room, with a sink by the side with 

a bed on the other side. 

My boyfriend. The one I loved kept me here… 

Later Samantha came, the door wasn’t fully opened for her to enter, a small part of the 

door was opened. It was just enough for me to see the forehead to just under the nose of 

the person who was talking to me up close. 

“Lucia!!” she looked panicked, wanting to fit herself through the small hole.

“Sam!” In a way, I was happy that she was here. 

“Are you okay?” 

I shook my head. “Ma’am Marie, how is she? Did she take the news of me leaving? Tell her I’m down here, that..” she shook her head. 

“I’m sorry Luc. I swear. I didn’t know things would turn out this way. If I did… I am sorry. I swear I’m sorry,” she kept apologizing over and over. 

“It’s not your fault… “I wanted to tell her to check on Ma’am Marie again when she cut 

me off.

“I didn’t know Kaden would react this way, I thought that since… be more kind,” She was wiping her tears looking anywhere but at me. 

“Sam, I don’t understand, how is this your fault?” she was never one to hold in things when she felt guilty, so it was not hard to get her to spill. 

“I’m sorry,” she wiped her nose on the sleeve of her shirt. “Ma’am Marie sent me to get some ingredients to her room then I saw the note you left her. I panicked, I didn’t know who to tell so I ran to meet Eric, he was with Kaden at the time but I didn’t think much about it. I’m so so sorry.” 

I moved back a bit from the door. “I swear it Lucia, if I had known he would act this way I wouldn’t have said shit. I just panicked in the moment, thinking you would leave, and you know you’re not well at the moment since the…” she cut herself off. It was quiet. 

“You are lying” I said after a while looking at her in disbelief. “you knew exactly how he would act. You are one of the few people that know about us. What he really is. You know!” I raised my voice at the end, taking in deep breath. 

My head was all over the place at the moment. She ruined my plans. She ruined my life. And worse, Ma’am Marie would be worried, looking for me when I was down here in the caller. 

I ignored her begging, till she finally gave up and left, leaving me all alone which was very much appreciated this time. 

“Talk about drama huh?” 

I looked around to see where the voice had come from, there the person was, it was what I believed to be the adjourning cell.
