The Wolf and the Fae
Chapter 118
Shadows danced among the ancient trunks, concealing the Council’s operatives as they moved with calculated precision. They had Iseen planning this for months, waiting for the perfect moment to ske. Tonight, they would finally capture Lucia,
Lucia moved silently through the forest, her heightened senses on high alert. She had been feeling uneasy for days, a sense of impending doom gnawing at her instincts. Her wolf side, Lipa, growled softly in her mind, urging her to stay vigilant. But despite her caution, Lancia could not detect the presence of the skilled hunters surrounding her.
Suddenly, a net made of shimmering silver threads dropped from the trees above, ensnaring Lucia in its unbreakable grip. The silver burned against her skin, searing through her clothes and making heery out in pain. Lupa howled within her, but the silver’s touch was weakening their connection, rendering her wolf side powerless not to mention that she was barely healed from the wolf’s bane from Camille’s attack
Before Lucia could gather her thoughts, the Council’s operatives emerged from the shadows. Clad in dark, camouflaged gear, they moved with the efficiency of a well–rehearsed military unit. Their leader, a tall figure with piercing green eyes, approached Lucia with a look of cold satisfaction.
“Finally,” he said, his voice dripping with malice. “The infamous lycan, captured at last.”
Lucia struggled against the net, but the silver only tightened its grip, sapping her strength. “Who are you?” she demanded, though her voice trembled with pain.
Lam Marcus, the new leader of the Council’s enforcement division, he replied, crouching down to meet her eyes. “And you, Lucia, are a threat that we can no longer tolerate.”
With a swift gesture, Marcus signaled his team. They lifted the net, carrying Lucia through the forest with practiced ease. Every step brought fresh waves of agony as the silver continued to burn her skin. Lupa was silent now, their bond reduced to a faint whisper in the back of her mind.
The operatives brought Lucia to a clearing where a large, reinforced truck waited. They secured her inside a steel cage lined with silver bars, ensuring she could not escape. Marcus stepped into the truck, his eyes gleaming with triumph.
“The Council has decided your fate,” he said, locking the cage door. “We will separate you from your wolf side, permanently. Lupa
will be destroyed, and you will be left as nothing but a powerless human.”

Fear gripped Lucia’s heart. She had always known the Council were against her nature, but she had never imagined they would go to such lengths to eliminate her. As the truck rumbled to life, she focused on the faint connection she still had with Lupa, drawing strength from her wolf side despite the overwhelming pain.
‘there is a second option though” he said with so much audacity in his voice “you need to give up your bond with Helios” the council did not know about she and Helios breaking their bond yet. She looked at him with spite. “I would rather suck sewage
water”

“very well then”
Hours passed in a blur of agony and fear. The truck finally came to a stop, and Lucia was dragged from the cage and into a cold, sterile room. The air was thick with the scent of chemicals, and the walls were lined with medical equipment. A tall, thin man in a white lab coat stood waiting, his expression devoid of empathy.
“Prepare the subject,” he said to the operatives, who restrained Lucia on a metal table. Straps tightened around her wrists and ankles, immobilizing her.
Marcus stood at the foot of the table, watching with a predatory gaze. “This procedure will strip away your wolf side,” he explained. “You will be human, and Lupa will be nothing but a memory.”

Chapter 118
Lucia’s heart pounted in her chest as the man in the lab coat prepared a syringe filled with a glowing, silver liquid. He approached her with clinical detachment, pressing the needle to her skin.
As the liquid entered her veins, a searing pain shot through Lucia’s body. She screamed, the sound echoing off the sterile walks. Lupa’s presence flared within her, a desperate surge of defiance against the excruciating torment. But the silver was relentless, attacking the bond between them with merciless precision.
Lucia’s vision blurred, and her screams turned into ragged gasps. Just as she felt the bond with Lupa fraying to its breaking point, the room was suddenly plunged into darkness. The lights flickered and died, casting the room in shadow.
An explosion rocked the facility, followed by the sounds of gunfire and shouting. The operatives scrambled, their organized ranks thrown into chaos, Marcus shouted orders, but his voice was drowned out by the cacophony of battle.
Lucia’s head lolled to the side, her consciousness slipping away. Through the haze of pain and confusion, she saw a figure moving towards her with supernatural speed. A familiar face appeared, one she never thought she’d see again.
“Hold on, Lucia,” the figure whispered, breaking the straps that bound her. “We’re getting your out of here.”
Lucia’s vision faded completely, her last conscious thought a desperate plea to Lupa. Don’t leave me.
As the sounds of battle raged around her, Lucia’s fate hung in the balance, her future teetering on the edge of a knife.
