“What if I fuck it up again, I would be in too deep this time if I decide to actually mate Sam. I won’t be able to forgive myself.”
I reached his level as he sat on the floor. “You are brave, and I damn know that your mate would be lucky enough to have you because you would move universes to keep her safe, you just have to know it yourself.” I dusted my body and stood up. “Now, if you’d excuse me, I have pack duties to attend to.‘

He bowed to me, allowing what I had said to sink in.
I walked up the stairs, meeting Ma’am Marie along the way. I felt guilty seeing her but I
shoved that feeling to the back of my mind.
“Oh Kaden, thank goddess I found you. It’s Lucia. It’s like she disappeared. I can’t seem to find her anywhere.” She looked really worried. My wolf, Ajax, had also grown an attachment to Ma’am Marie, so his initial reaction was to come out and help her. A sign
of weakness I could not tolerate.

“She went to another pack, for visiting purposes.” She looked more upset than worried.
“She should have at least told me instead of leaving me like that. Thank you,” she turned
to me and said. I felt bad for lying to her, but what was done was done.

Two days, it’s been two days since I kept her locked up.
After a lot of restless nights from Ajax, I had to wake up early this morning to see her. I looked at the time, it was barely 5am but with the snarling and scratching at the back of
my mind, It was only a matter of time before I went insane.
“Where are you going?” Camille said, holding my hand. She was still half asleep, waking up barely, to talk to me.
“Uhh, run, I’m going for a run. I need to clear my head.”
“Want me to join? It’ll only take me a moment to get ready.” I panicked for a moment, upon hearing it.

What If they wanted to steal her away? Or worse, what If she was the one doing magic.
“The person beside it?” They both shook their heads.
“The other one has been here a while, she has never done anything like that before.” I walked back into the room, checking where her mark was.
“It was you” she looked at me with confusion as i said it. “The scratch is gone,” i
commented as her mark was barely there.
As if just noticing it, she touched it. “You’ve been the one doing magic” I mumbled.
I suddenly felt justifiable rage to hit her, but a headache came from nowhere, blinding
me to the point where I couldn’t see.
