He pulled me to him, making me fall into his chest. “Please,” he said, taking a deep breath of my hair. “Don’t be stubborn and do as I say. I’ll mindlink the teachers that
you’re not coming in today.”
Most teachers were part of the pack, so that was going to be easy since he was higher in
rank than most if not all of them.
My innocent mind was going a mile per minute. ‘Does this mean he cares? Should we scent Mark him? What if…” I had to cut my wolf off at that point because that horny bastard was going to make it all the worse if I let her go on in my head.
“Are you okay?” He said, looking at me with subtle worry.
“Yeah, my wolf.. she was just being herself.” I saw the excitement build up in his eyes
before it disappeared.
“Oh..” He picked me up, like I weighed nothing. “You know you don’t have to pick me up, yeah? I can walk” It was embarrassing enough that he had to see me fall…. twice. But to carry me?
“You’re hurt, I can’t let you walk in this state.”
“It’s a scrap to the knee. I think I’ll live” he sniffed me while taking me up the stairs,
giving me enough time to study his face closely.
His jaws were well chiselled, I could see how the reflection of the light made his eyes pop
more, the golden brown looking more and more enticing.
“You should take a picture.”
“Maybe I should,” I said, feigning confidence. He smirked, looking down at me.
I noticed him opening his door, instead of taking me to mine.
“Ummm…I’m pretty sure my room is still a flight of stairs ahead” I said looking at him
weirdly, even though on the inside, i was bouncing up and down like a fool.
“You’re heavy, you should be thankful I carried you this far” he teased.

It was crazy how much he turned a complete 180 from how he had been treating me the past few weeks.
“You’re so beautiful when you smile, you should do it more often.” That seemed to drai the smile off his face, like I had said something wrong. He laid me gently on the bed, though his expression towards me had hardened.
“Did I.. did I say something wrong?” he shook his head no.
My injury had healed at this point, it actually had healed before we made the trip down the stairs but I wanted to stay in his arms a little longer.
“Let me get you something to clean your wounds”
“No need, It healed.”
“Oh,” I could feel the awkwardness between us.
“I guess,
I guess I should be going then, thank you, for caring about my wound.”
I stood up, making a beeline for the door.
“For today!” He said out of the blue, forcing me to come to a stop from shock. “can we like we are Mated? See where things go, you know…” that was a complete invitation for my wolf to want to humor his brain dry.
I took a moment, still facing the door, I tried to compose myself so I don’t embarrass myself anymore.
“That sounds like a plan” Well played Samantha, well played. I told myself mentally ass was still facing the door. “But I’ll have you know, I want everything, Down to the fluwa I said quickly turning to look at him
He smiled, walking a bit closer to me. “I wouldn’t have expected anything less from yo looked at him, hoping that he would come closer even just a bit and hug me. Buttaffan we couldn’t have everything we wanted.
“So, what do you plan for our first day?:” I smirked looking at him with a witte simille.

Lucia’s p.o.v
Kaden was in the infirmary, I was yet to process the feeling I was having. I looked at his unconscious body. His father had instructed that I be near him. Of course he didn’t let the others know why, but I knew. He was hoping the mate effect would speed his recovery and no one knew what caused him to faint.
Honestly, I didn’t care. I was standing at the door, as far away from him as possible. I really did wish that he died. That way, I would not have to go through this…
