Chapter 132
“ly…” he gulped rapidly, trying to control his eyes to stay focused on her face only. “Lyra, what are you doing?” he looked at her trying to control his breath. His breath was erratic, he could not control it. it was like his body had a mind of its own,
Wanting to touch,
Wanting to look.
Wanting to feel the pulsing warm flesh of her bossom under his touch.
“Lyra, I want you out of my room…” he tried to maintain his breath so he did not sound excited, and he was failing. “I said I wan-”
“I heard what you said clearly my lord, although, I know you do not mean that” he said, covering what space was left between them and sitting on her lap, pushing her chest right into his face, almost burying them.
“you see, we sirens” she ran her hands over his chest, slipping past the first base of clothing he had on she licked his ears, causing a shudder to run down his spine.

we have a way of knowing”
Helios knew that he should not have been doing this, it was the one thing that made his thoughts crawl, someone who was not Lucia touching him. But there was something about Lyra that made him not to think straight.
it was her touch, light and lingering as she applied the balm to his temples, that was the true medicine. Something that he had been denied for almost months now, something that his body so craved.
“Relax, my king,” she murmured, her fingers working deftly. “Allow me to take care of you.”
Helios closed his eyes, a soft sigh escaping his lips as he surrendered to her ministrations. Her hands were gentle yet firm, her touch both soothing and stimulating. As she massaged the balm into his skin, she let her fingers drift lower, brushing against his neck and shoulders in a way that sent sparks of pleasure through his body.
“Lyra,” he breathed, his voice tinged with a mixture of surprise and longing. “What are you doing?”
“Helping you,” she whispered, leaning in so that her breath tickled his ear. “Easing your pain. Bringing you comfort.”
Her lips grazed his earlobe, and Helios‘ resolve began to waver. He turned his head slightly, their faces now inches apart. Lyra’s–eyes met his, a smoldering invitation in their depths. The air between them crackled with unspoken desire.
“Helios,” she whispered, her voice a seductive purr. “Let me in. Let me be the one to ease your burdens, to share your nights. Let me
be yours.”

Helios‘ hand moved to her waist, his grip firm and possessive. “Lyra, he said, his voice husky with want. “This is dangerous. My mate. I can’t let this be. This is not right, this should not be.” He said standing up to shrug her off, but she pulled him back from behind back to the bed
“Only if we let it be,” she replied, closing the distance between them again.
Their lips met in a kiss that was both tender and fierce, a mingling of need and passion that left them both breathless. Ly roamed his body, finding every knot of tension and melting it away with her touch. Helios responded in kind, his own hands exploring her curves with a hunger that had been long denied.
But just as they were about to lose themselves completely, a sharp gasp shattered the intimate moment.
“Your Majesty!” a voice cried out.

They broke apart, turning to she Constance, standing in the doorway her eyes wide with shock and dismay.
“Constance,” Helios said, his voice thick with frustration and something else a lingering haze of desire. “This is not what it seems.”
The maid’s gaze darted between them, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment. “I… Lápologize, Your Majesty. I did not mean to intrude.” She looked to Helios one more time before she bowed down a look that held disbelief, and disappointed.
“Leave us, Helios commanded, his tone regaining its usual authority. “And speak of this to no one.”
Constance nodded quickly, retreating from the room and closing the door behind her. The interruption had broken the spell, and a heavy silence settled over the chamber.
Helios turned back to Lyra, his expression a mixture of regret and determination. “This cannot continue,” he said, his voice firm. “I cannot afford such distractions.”
Lyra’s eyes flashed with a mix of hurt and defiance. “And what of your needs, Helios? What of your desires?”
He stepped back, putting distance between them. “They are secondary to my duty.”
“your duty to who?” she looked at him with amusement dancing in her eyes. “your mate who clearly is not keeping you satisfied? Or that the maid would spread a rumour about an unfaithful king? Because from what I know..” she looked at him, spreading a pheromone to get him back under her spell, something that was common with the Sirens “you, have done nothing wrong” she bit her lips, inching to get closer to him.
“get out this instance!!” he yelled, creating a big gap between the two of them. The look in his eyes assured her that she was not going to get what she wanted from him.
With a sigh, Lyra gathered her things, her heart aching with unfulfilled longing. “As you wish, my king.”
As she left his chambers, a flicker of resolve ignited within her. The game was far from over. Helios might have escaped this, but she was sure to get him another time.
“mark my words King Helios, you would not be as lucky the next time” she said as she faced the castle, with spite, before she faded into the night.
Back at the castle though, Helios walked up and down the room wondering what had just happened. With Lyra out of the room, it was as if a fog had been lifted of his mind.
He thought about it severally on whether or not to meet with Constance. It was not until the sun was coming up before he realised that he was up all night and made a decision.
There was no freaking way Lucia was to know about this
