Chapter 14- memories.–1
The door of the room swung open, revealing Camille. I saw how her face changed, from worry to irritation when she realized that I was at the other side of the door.
“what are you doing here” she snarled. If you looked closely, you’d see her teeth elongate, even though she tried to hide it.
I moved back a bit, not going to lie, she scared me.
“what are YOU doing here,” I said raising my chin up like she did not scare the shit out of
- me.
“he is my mate” I almost forgot in that moment how I felt and snorted.
“Who would have thought.” I rolled my eyes. She walked up to me, causing me to take. Step back.
“Look, I don’t know much about you, but I’d advise you to back off my mate. I can be
very, very, mad when someone tries to claim things that are mine.” She backed me up into
the wall. I cursed at how submissive I was being.
“Cat caught your tongue?” she smiled. “leave this place, never, ever! Come neat him again, am I understood!” (
I moved away, still not leaving the room. Kaden’s dad, ensuring that I didn’t leave the
room used the alpha command on me.
“Are you deaf?” she was at this moment trying to turn into an angry gorilla when Kaden began to wake up. “Baby” I blinked rapidly as I watched as she turned from the world’s scariest being to a sweet thing. “Are you okay? Here, let me help with that” She was fawning all over him as she helped him from giving him water to adjusting his pillow.
“What happened,” he asked looking around his surroundings.
“You passed out, I don’t know I just… I was so scared” just could swear she was faking a
tear. I wanted to roll his eyes.
“Oh please, the guy fainted, not die. Give it a rest” I mumbled. Unfortunately for me, they both heard it. Causing them to focus their attention on me.

Chapter 14- memories.-1
Kaden immediately noticing my presence pushed Camille behind him. “What are you doing here” I almost rolled my eyes at him again. For someone who could have died, he should not be growling this much.
“clearly doing what your ‘mate‘ can not do,” I said before even thinking it out. That seemed to have struck a nerve with her because she was walking towards me or at least trying to, with an extended claw hissing, before Kaden pulled her back.
“you’re defending her? She was being…”
“she’s dangerous. She’s being suspected of using magic.
The look of horror that crossed her face brought me a sense of satisfaction, but I couldn’t
help but roll my eyes.
“For the last time, I’m innocent.” He had this distant look in his eyes before someone came and took me out, just outside the door.
“Sup” I greeted the guy awkwardly but he said nothing in return.
“Okay…”
“Let’s kill her” I felt my blood run cold as I heard that from the other side of the door.
“any louder can you?” it was Kaden’s.
“Oh please, I heard she doesn’t have a wolf, there is no way she hears us‘
Not if you’re shouting moron.‘ I rolled my eyes but didn’t say anything.
“what would be the reason?” I looked back at the guard who pretended that I didn’t even
exist.
I looked at the door with disbelief. He couldn’t have.. I raised my hands to knock on the
door.
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you,” the guard said, still not looking at me. I walked to face him, looking him eye to eye.
