Chapter 19- meetings and discoveries. -2
“Are you lost?” I asked again, desperate to know him. He looked familiar, yet was a complete stranger, it maddened me to think so. “are you from around here? Your scent, why does it seem very familiar?”
I was at the edge of the pond, my feet barely touching the stones that surrounded it.
I couldn’t help myself, it was like I was being compelled to go near him.
“You know, you ask too many questions Lucia” I looked at him, stunned I didn’t know what to say. I never told him my name.
“How did you know my name?” I moved back, a little defensive.
“The same way you know mine,” he said like it was the most casual thing in the world.
“I don’t know yours” I was starting to get scared, what if he was the one that poisoned me, or at least tried to?
What if…
I looked at him.
He didn’t look like that. For some reason, I knew I could trust him.
He smiled coming closer to me. “are you sure?” I looked at him, like really looked. He had a familiar smile.
I bent down to be able to look at his face. It soon turned to a staring contest, none of us wanting to look away.
“Helios” I mumbled to myself. He smiled, backing up from me. “But… but it can’t be. I swear, it was a dream. I know it.”
He came closer to me, invading my personal space, I didn’t mind it, or at least I couldn’t notice it. He had a type of beauty that made you want to forget everything and just focus on him.
“Sometimes dreams are just an extension of reality, my queen,” he said in the most

endearing way ever.
I tried to hide the blush, I loved the way he called the name, it seemed just right.
“the water is warm, and you look like there is a lot you want to talk about.”
I shook my head. Trying to clear my head. He wasn’t normal, I could tell.
“I’ll be here whenever you need someone to talk to” his eyes shifted from my eyes to my neck, the exact spot where I was marked.
He raised his hands towards its spot. I held it, covering it from his view.
He looked up, looking at me before he smiled. “my apologies, I just was curious” I nodded, trying to look anywhere but at him. “I would love to stay longer, but I can’t.” I felt sad for
some reason. I wanted him to stay longer.
“Oh, okay” I heard footsteps from behind and in a bit of fear I looked back to see. There was no one there. “what about-” I turned back to look at him, but he wasn’t there, he was
gone. I stood there dumbfounded.
There was no trace of him leaving, it was like he wasn’t even here in the first place.
Sam’s p.o.v
I opened my eyes and was met with a white ceiling. The beeping sound by my side did not want to stop.
I looked to the side, trying to see where the stupid sound was coming from. It wasn’t as easy as it sounded my whole body hurt.
A few grunts escaped my mouth as the pain settled into me. “Are you awake? Does your body hurt? Where does it hurt?” I looked to my other side to see Eric beside me, he was fuzzing over me. I totally would have found it cute if my whole body didn’t feel like I was hit by a truck. O
“What happened?” my throat felt dry, like I was given sand to swallow.
He seemed to have notice because he rushed to the dispenser in the room, getting me a

cup of water.
I rushed it, like I hadn’t drank water in years.
“Careful, you don’t want to choke on that.” He looked like he hadn’t slept for days. He looked tired.
“You look stressed,” I said, touching his face as it was near me.
“You had me worried,” he said packing my palm. I felt the butterflies in my stomach burst out without caution. He pecked my forehead. “Please, never do that again, I beg you, you can’t leave me. Not again.” I was a little lost
“Again?” he said nothing but continued kissing me everywhere on my face, save for my lips.
“Please, I can’t go through that again.” I knew I wasn’t the one that was referred to, but
he was giving me attention so I decided to keep my mouth shut and live in the moment as
if it was me.
