Chapter 20- birthday drama–1
Lucia’s p.o.v
I walked back to the room, ready to see my best friend, or at least tried. I wanted, no need to see her to get things off my chest. It should have been me. Not her, she didn’t deserve any of these.
I walked back to the room, thinking about what I was going to say to Eric over and over.
I reached the door, taking in. A deep breath. I had expected him to have come out by now and driven me away but no. Maybe he wanted me in there. I tried to make up all these
excuses in my head.
“You know what, it doesn’t matter,” I said opening the door calmly to see inside. Sam was there, walking around in the room “Hi” I said nervously.
She turned to look at me, relief filling her face. “Lucia “she rushed towards me, hugging me. “I thought you had eaten it. I was so scared.” I hugged her more tightly.
“I’m sorry, it was all my fault, I didn’t know. I swear I didn’t. I just…” I stopped talking, there was nothing I could really say to her.
“It’s okay, I’m just glad that you’re safe” She hugged me a little tighter before she let me
- go.
“What are you doing here?” I didn’t need to look at him to know his emotions. I could
feel it in the air. He was livid.
“I…” I stammered, letting go of her. “I just wanted to see…”
“I told you not to come near her!” I flinched as he boomed I knew him to be cold, but never had I gotten to see him so angry, I actually had to jump back.
“Eric, she just wanted to see me.” She said keeping me behind her, using herself as a
human shield
“and I don’t want her around you! She poisoned you! I can tell it’s because of the disagreement you had earlier, what’s next? Would you have killed her if I didn’t come here soon?” it hurt, it really did. To think that he would think of me in such a way.

“Eric!” Sam yelled, looking at him with disbelief. “how can you say that? You know how she can’t do that.”
“Really?” he Looked at me snorting before he looked back at her. “You would choose someone who doesn’t even have a scent? Someone who tries to hide their identity?” to a wolf, your scent was everything. You could tell who a person was just by their scent.
She had nothing to say about it. And honestly, neither could I. I didn’t have all the abilities they had because of my wolf’s situation, but I did understand how important it
was.
“You know, I do care about her, if I didn’t, I wouldn’t be here. And talking about me like I am not in the room? That really sucks.”
“Lucia I’m sorry, I’m sure he’s just overwhelmed” Sam tried explaining on his behalf.
“Overwhelmed? You might be mates and all but do you know how I felt? I literally watched you collapse in front of me. I watched you! Not him!” I hated how the tears appeared once again.
I walked straight to my room, slamming the door behind me. I just wanted everything back to the way it used to be‘ I thought as I fell asleep on the floor, finding it more
comfortable.
**
I woke up to my door being knocked on, I stood up, dragging myself up from the floor.
I really should not do this again. I thought as I stretched out the parts of my body that
were sore from sleeping on the floor for long.
I opened the door, with Ma’am Marie holding a small cake which frightened me.
I think I was traumatized enough, I wasn’t ready to see any more cakes, at least for a
while.
“hi dear, Samantha and I planned to give you this, sorry it took a while, it was meant to be a morning surprise. But errands” she said making her way into the apartment. “Happy
eighteenth birthday dear.”

“Ma” I blinked in confusion and looked at the cake and then at her. “You left the cake on
the table this morning and we had some. Sam and i.” The look of confusion on her face
told me otherwise.
