Time seemed to slow down and everything seemed to grow paler. This was it, this was how I died. Here, in this stupid pack, I really did hope ma’am Marie wouldn’t cry over me as much.
I had already accepted my fate, so there was not much fight. That was until the door of my room swung with a gust of wind, causing me to snap my eyes open. It all happened in a blur.
At one moment, the door opened. I could see/feel another presence; couldn’t be so sure since I was out of air and then the next moment, I heard the familiar voice beside me. I couldn’t get enough of his scent breathing it in like a greedy bastard that I was until I got enough that calmed me down.

He held the upper part of my arm with a feather–like touch I almost wouldn’t have known that he was touching me if not that I had seen him touch me and from the way that spot burned, in a good way,
I felt the ground beneath me shift and my surroundings fade away, it was quickly replaced by solid ground and my surroundings bring replaced by something different, some place I had never seen before.
“Make yourself comfortable” he said, his voice having a deep undertone to it. It sounded different yet totally the same.

is this place” I looked around, trying to get in as much of my surrounding that I could.
“Please, sit” he totally ignored me. It didn’t fully register that he had ignored me as I was still taking in every single place around

“well that’s good.” He cleared his throat, getting a lot less comfortable on his chair. “we are mates”
1 felt my heart drop to the pits of my stomach, was this it? Was he gang to reject me? But Kaden. The thought of leaving him was bittersweet. I didn’t have to do much and…
I looked at him, a new fear holding me tight. “hh..b…bu. I could get the words out so I went into panic,
“but I’m a wolf” I managed to get out in a fit of panic. What was my hack going to think of me? It an ironic since up until now, I wanted nothing more than to leave that pack behind.
“I am well aware.” He nodded, Mating between two species was rare, it only happened when there was need to keep peace between two species. But for the two to be paired naturally?
“I want to go home. I need to think of this I gestured between the two of us.
“I can’t do that, you’ll need to stay here for a while.” More panic filled me. Was this it? was I just going to be another prisoner

“are you crazy?” I stood up from my chair as quickly as I could, like I had been burnt in the butt. “You think just because we are “mates‘ I want anything to do with you? I don’t even know you, let alone like you”
“Trust me” he said crossing one leg over the other. “I have no desire to be with you either” I couldn’t lie and say that what he said
did not sting, because it did.

“I don’t think you understand, I am not made to have a mate” he stood up, matching up to be at the same eye level as I was made to be alone” he was all up in my space, choking me with that familiar rosemary and citrus scent.
“I was made to be the most powerful,” his went a few octaves lower, hitting all the right hass note. It really was a melody to my ears. “and then you came to be, my one weakness that I cannot seem to get away from.” He whispered, completely in my personal space. Lifting my head so that my gaze could move from his chest to his eyes, his grey piercing eyes.
“Hellos?” I called that seemed to snap

“yeah” he moved to walk away before he walked back, placing a gend kiss on my lips and then vanishing. It was as though he wasn’t there in the first place to begin with, but he was and I felt every presence of libs and I wanted more.
I was too stunned to move, first because he had unexpectedly kissed me and second, I wanted more….
