Chapter 53
“WHAT’S HAPPENING!” Helios looked ready to have a heart attack and he would have already had one if it were possible. He rushed to her side, confused as he did not know what to do, whether or not he should touch her or if that was only going to make it worse.
Emily rushed to her side, taking out the first thing she could grab which was the needle. “hold her tight!” she looked a lot less calmer than Helios which wasn’t a lot as she too
was scared.
She stabbed her, straight into her neck where Kaden had marked Lucia. She seemed to calm down almost immediately, but started to convulsed even harder this time around.
“i thought you made it stop. Why is she still doing that? She’s getting worse, she..” Emily was starting to really panic she tried everything on Lucia but it didn’t seem to work.
Her wolf, its like it’s giving up” she stood after a while of trying everything she could.
“her body is rejecting everything.”
Helios looked at her, his eyes looking blood short. “well don’t just stand there, do something!” He swallowed the hard lump that had formed in his throat as he looked at
her.
“there is nothing else we can do Helios, except to wait and hope that she fights it on her
own” she said looking at the body that was having a seizure and stopping at intervals. It
was scary. She dared not look at her brother as she said those words. She couldn’t bear to
see her brother so broken.
Helios took a step back. He knew there was a possibility of dying, she had said it earlier
when he had come into the room. The shock caused him to take another step back.
He couldn’t help it. A tear escaped before he could blink it away.
It was the first time he cried in all his years as king, almost four hundred years.
He wiped the tears, putting on his stoic and expressionless face and went to the only place he knew he could blow up the pent up anger.

He walked there, taking his time, which was in part because he didn’t want to stray to far from Lucia and hoped that half way to the cell, Emily would call him back and tell him she was stabilised now.
He knew at the back of his mind that it was only a wishful thinking as she would most likely die. The thought brought nothing but pain.
He cursed the goddess.
How could she hive him something so sweet and then try to take it away?
How could she let him taste happiness and only when he had started to open up to the idea she would dare to take it away? The thought maddened him. “please” he whispered desperately.
He opened the to the cell and there, sat on the floor was his prize.
“Do you realise what you have done?” he growled, entering completely into the cell and closing it behind him.
“She belongs to me. It doesn’t matter what I do with her, she b3longs to me and only
me!” even with the fear in his eyes he still had the audacity to say those words.
“Bold” was all Helios said as he grabbed his tongue yanking it out almost completely from his mouth but not enough to fully tear it out. “my mate is fighting for her life up there because of your stupid act and by the goddess, you better pray for her recovery or I would just be getting started with you”
Kaden’s wolf came out, sensing the threat that Helios had just promised. He was still an alpha and alpha’s did not liked to be challenged. Their territory or not.
He snarled, pushing the consciousness of Kaden to the furthest back of their shared mind
and charged at Helios.
There was something g wrong with the wolf he could sense it. Though he could easily take out a ny wolf in a fight, he knew this one would be wayyy easier because something was off.
The pit up a barrier to ensure that what ever he was going to do to Kaden, Lucia would not be affected. (2
