The summons -1
Helios trudged wearily through the ornate corridors of his palace, the weight of what i had experienced weighed heavily on me. The day had been long, filled with endless meetings, negotiations, and most of all, Ermis. I had to bite back my tongue to keep myself from spewing all that came to my mind at that point.
‘Did he think me for a fool? Did he think that he could do as he pleased .just because I let
him?‘ his mind was racing ten miles An hour.
. As he reached the grand hall leading to his chambers, the soft flicker of candlelight
greeted him, casting warm, golden hues against the marble walls.
With each step, Helios felt the weariness of his duties slowly ebb away, replaced by a sense of anticipation. For waiting for him at the end of his journey was Lucia, his beloved
mate, the one who brought light to his darkest days.
He hadn’t expected to see her So the shock on his face was obvious. “Luzia?” he drawled.
He loved the way her body responded to him when he called her that way.
As he pushed open the intricately carved doors to his chambers, the scent of jasmine and
sandalwood enveloped him, a familiar and comforting embrace. He opened the door her,
allowing more space for her to come in.
“Helios,” Lucia’s voice, like music to his ears, reached out to him, he smiled, despite how drained he felt at the moment.
She eyed him, gauging his tired state.
“perhaps this is not a good time. I would come back in the morning.” Lucia said softly, fidgeting on the spot before she decided to finally leave.
Helios fastened his hands around her waist, pulling her to himself and effectively stopping her from leaving. He took in a wife of her scent, closing his eyes as he did so.
Taking her hand in his, Helios pressed a kiss to her knuckles, his lips lingering against her skin. In that moment, the tiredness he felt was nothing to how much his feelings for her.
“It is always going to be a good time to talk to you” he whispered in her ear, freezing her on the lips spot.

wine..
As they settled onto the plush cushions of the divan, Lucia’s hand found its way into hi their fingers intertwining in a silent promise of devotion. For a while, they sat in companionable silence, the only sound the crackle of the fire and the soft hum of the
might outside.
Eventually, Helios spoke, breaking the silence between them. “So, what is the matter?” suid taking a sip of his wine.
India looked at helios, not really knowing what to say. She didn’t know how to break th maws to him. “the council, they summoned me” she said avoiding his gaze. She already
knew what the answer would be but.
