Misunderstanding
King Helios paced back and forth in his chambers, his mind fraught with worry and apprehension. The impending council meeting weighed heavily on his shoulders, but it was not the political intricacies that troubled him most. It was Lucia. He could imagine that bloody bastard Philip trying to get into her head like he did the last time. His blood boiled just thinking about it.
His mind was going a miler per minute. The thought that she could be tortured, not physically since the council would not dare try to start a war with him like that. C
Or worse, what if the council told her of his past? What if they told her things that would
make their already shaky relationship scatter?
If someone had told him a month ago that he would feel this way for some girl especially
Lucia he would have laughed or maybe not.
He looked into the sun, trying to calm himself.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows across the room, Helios couldn’t shake the feeling of dread that gnawed at him.
Helios feared for Lucia’s safety in the treacherous world of politics. The council was a viper’s nest of ambition and deceit, where alliances were forged and broken with the flick of a wrist. He had seen firsthand the lengths to which some would go to secure their own power. He could easily imagine Maggi spewing things that would make Lucia look at me
different
Unable to take the suspense anymore. He transported himself just before the door of the council since it was impossible to get himself.
“Let me in” he said in a cold composure which was completely different from what he was feeling at the moment.
“I am afraid we can’t do that” one of them at the far edge said, looking straight into my
eyes.
‘such disrespect‘ he thought to himself looking straight into the eyes of the guard who dared to look at him that long without casting his gaze away. Soon enough, his screams filled the room as his eyes began to bleed. The rest said nothing as they left the door,

allowing him do as he please with the door.
“Pathetic” I scoffed as I watched the other two take the bloody fool away.
the council chamber loomed before him, enveloped in an aura of mystic wards and
protective spells.
They did not seem like regular spells as they proved far too difficult for him to pass through. It was not stopping him though. He was going to get through to hiss mate and nothing was going to stop him.
Helios felt a surge of desperation unlike any he had ever known. Ignoring the warnings
and barriers meant to deter unwanted intruders, he pressed forward, driven by an
insatiable need to ensure his mate’s safety.
He closed his eyes, summoning spells that he did not think he would ever need to use.
Pushing past the shimmering barrier, Helios burst into the chamber, his heart pounding in
his chest. What had happened there chilled him to the core, something was wrong, he was weakening, that was definitely not a good sign he shoved it down to the back of his mind as he place at the fore front the most important thing, saving his mate.
T
Sir Philip, just as he had expected would happen was in front of Lucia looked to be fighting thee hold he on her but it was like she was not strong enough to over power
him.
In that moment, all reason fled from Helios’s mind, consumed by a primal rage unlike anything he had ever known. With a roar that echoed through the chamber, he charged forward, his fists clenched with righteous fury. The air crackled with raw power as Helios unleashed his wrath upon him. “get away from my mate!” He thundered, literally as the
sound threatened to shake the whole room to dust
They weren’t flinching, she was getting weaker and weaker In his hands.
The whole council, including his mate looked shocked and surprised. “Lord Helios” he said looking at me with shock in his eyes.
And then, just as the scene reached its crescendo, the world went dark, leaving only the echoing silence of the chamber and the haunting uncertainty of what lay beyond.
