Helios dashed into her chambers looking as furious as they came, “what is the meaning of that?” he growled, looking at her with bright white eyes.
“the meaning of what Helios” she said acting unbothered as she unpacked her hair from its tied position. O
His nose flared further as she looked at him, blinking innocently. “I don’t like games Luzia” the way he drawled out her name this time was not from passion. It was a subtle warning. Lucia looked at him, calling him bluff on the threat.
She looked at him daringly. Whether or not he had feelings for her, she was damned sure that he would never, in a million years do anything to harm her.
“who is playing games?” she looked at him for a few more minutes before she went into the inner chamber to change. She came out not in a sleep appropriate dress but in a dress that was fit for dinner. Nothing extravagant like the ball dress but certainly fancy for something else.

“are you going somewhere?” his voice was levelled as he zeroed in on her.

“you want to go talk politics, with a man who kissed the back of your hands and looked at you seductively?” Lucia was getting irritated. She hated how he spoke to her like she was a child.
She knew for a fact that it was in fact not the reason that he had asked for her time this night. But if her own mate was going to be an ass, then she might as well go accommodate the prince.
“I am sure you heard me loud and clear, now, if you have nothing more to say” she pushed passed him towards the door.
She did not make it very far as the man rather roughly pulled her back.
For a split second, she was terrified. Her breath going rapidly which caused her chest to raise and fall rapidly.

“don’t” he bunelly made the sentence through all the growling and huffing..
She scoffed, “now the wants to spend time with me?‘ she thought to herself as she tried
make her way around him.
“I don’t feel like talking to you right now Helios. And at this point,, the prince iis albett compashe never got to complete her statement because he pushed her against the w taking in deep breaths of her.
“I am warning you, love. You would better stay your pretty little asss iff you know what i good for you.” His voice was filled with sincerity which shook her to the core.

“you are mine!” that seemed to shut her up. this was the first time he had actively claimed out loud that she was hers. “you are mine to look att the way he looked at you, way to treat you the way he looked at you, to smile att the way he smiled at you. No on else” he was breathing heavily at this point..
She pushed him slightly, his scent altering her thoughtss for a moment to think nothing
but to sniff him and scent mark him..
“not now Helios, I don’t want to be in your space right now. besides, I can’t leave the prince waiting.” She made her way to leave
“I would kill him” he promised, causing her to freeze. “I would kill him and wipe out hi entire specie if he dares set eyes on you Luzia. Il can promise you” the words he spoke registered to her that he was not joking, He meant every word.
“is this it? is this going to be our life Helios?? You are desperately in love with me one week and the next you can not stand me.. Il amttixell oftthis Helios, I can’t deal with this anymore. Let me know when you actually talle a step permanently, without taking a ste back.” She moved towards the door, breaking the silence of the might with the cracking

“you would not dare take another stopp urin, II mean it!” he sounded enraged, but she d not care at this point. She was going too muut him, her mind was made up. besides, it wa not like she planned to do anything bussilles keep him company. He seemed like an interesting person.
Without looking back, she took a step out the door, leaving behind a furious looking king and worst of all, leaving a chipped heart.
The cold night fanned her face causing her to shiver as she did not have enough time to dress for the night as her heart pounded beside Helios throughout. She was worried that he might step into her inner chambers while she was dressing, although a part of her hoped he would, she shoved it down to the mate bond.
“milady” his deep voice called to her in the calm of the night.
“my prince” she curtsied, smiling a bit at him.
“I thought you were not going to show tonight, I was almost certain of it” he said giving a lopsided smile.
“well I did say I was going to show, didn’t i?” she crossed her arm over her chest, waiting for him to say something else.
“the moon’s glow fits you perfectly, almost like you are the favourite of the goddess’s child” he teased, causing a blush on her cheeks, one she prayed to the goddess was not visible.
“you are beautiful” he said looking at her with those piercing brown eyes.
She blushed harder using her hair to hide the blush as she bowed her head.
“I have a mate” she said looking at him with teasing eyes.
“and so do I” he said taking a step closer to her. “and yet I want to do this” he said in a low voice, she almost did not catch it.
He came closer to her, placing a chaste kiss on her lips
