Chapter47.
Everyone except me:“……?!”
Another bombshell.

Grand Bistro at the Peninsula Hotel.
Xander finished his meal but didn’t leave immediately. He sat there, engrossed in his phone. His wolf’s tone was proud, “SHE IS A VERY INTERESTING OMEGA, RIGHT?”
After a while, he curled his lips into a smile, a low chuckle rumbling in his deep, clear voice.“She’s quite daring.”
Zane Sullivan, standing beside him, also looked at the phone screen. He offered a fair assessment.“More exciting than a TV drama. Sophia Wells is both brave and resourceful.” “She’s really risking her life, not acting for a TV show,” Xander said casually.
After looking at the phone for a while longer, he put it away, stood up, and left.
In the elevator, Zane had already pressed the button for the basement level when Xander said, “Such an exciting drama. Wouldn’t you like to see the live?”
Zane blinked.“…Ah, yes.” He really *had* to see it.
Back at the banquet hall.
Vera looked at Tanner with a stunned, disbelieving expression. She never imagined Tanner would use her as a shield. Vera’s wolf was even more incredulous, “THIS LITTLE BITCH! SHE ACTUALLY DRAGGED US OUT TO TAKE THE FALL FOR HER! SHE’S JUST A LITTLE GIRL! AND NOW SHE’S SLANDERING US!”
“No, no, that’s not how it is! I didn’t force her. She said she had a way to get Sophia to sign that compensation agreement, so I… I just asked Sophia to meet me at the hotel. But I didn’t know she’d use this method. I thought she’d just scare her a little. I just wanted her to sign the agreement.” Vera explained frantically.
But this indirectly confirmed her complicity.
On the other side, Tanner cried, protesting, “Aunt Vera, how could you? You complained to me about Sophia being greedy, saying she initially agreed to one hundred million but then raised the price to one hundred and fifty million. I felt sorry for you, for Jason. That’s why I helped you! You said you were afraid Jason would hate you, so you asked me to contact those people!”
“…” Vera’s fingers trembled with anger.“You… you… you’re talking nonsense!”
“I’m not lying, Aunt Vera. For Jason and my future, just admit it.”

Vera was so angry she almost had a heart attack right then and there.
The Cooper family reacted immediately, regardless of right or wrong. To protect Tanner, they blamed Vera for involving their child. They shifted all the blame onto her. Ironically, now the Cooper family was showing the very unity that defined the nature of a wolf family.
The Winter family and Vera, ignoring all pretense of decorum, argued with the Coopers.
The guests were all stunned. They had seriously underestimated the drama unfolding before them – twist after twist, high–energy the whole way through.

I was also surprised. Tanner would actually bite her mother–in–law at this critical moment, and now they were fighting each other.
I looked sideways at Jason’s reaction. His face was frozen with stiffness, like a thick layer of snow covering his mouth and nose. He, who valued his image so much, must be devastated inside.
This… is the price he pays for his infidelity!
“Sophia, I apologize. I’ll pay for your treatment, for your injuries, for your illness! Medical conditions are so good now, maybe AIDS can be cured!”
Tanner’s regretful cries reached my ears. I turned to her, seeing her wiping away non–existent tears, acting remorseful and begging for forgiveness. But I still saw a vicious glint in her eyes. I bet her wolf is secretly gloating, deeply satisfied with itself.
She wasn’t afraid of being exposed; she didn’t care about betraying her mother–in–law. As long as she could spread rumors about me being played and having AIDS, right? A naturally wicked person!
