Xander turned to me, his gaze lowering. His tone was humble and gentle. “I heard someone questioning your innocence, and I, in a moment of idle curiosity, spoke without your permission. Did I cause you any trouble?”
I suppressed my surprise.“…I’ve caused you trouble, Mr. Shaw.”
“Should I help you explain?”
“…Please.”
I restrained myself from gasping. He was here; it would be foolish to refuse his help.
The ladies present were all starry–eyed. He was so handsome and possessed such gentlemanly grace and elegance. The way he lowered his head to ask was utterly captivating.
Xander turned to the crowd.“Last night, I saved Miss Wells.”
“I was discussing business with a client at that hotel. On my way out, I encountered Miss Wells in the hallway, disoriented. I noticed that the people helping her seemed suspicious, so I asked the hotel to investigate, and then I went with the hotel staff to rescue her. Fortunately, we arrived in time, and she wasn’t harmed.”
He described the events in detail, omitting ambiguous details that could lead to misunderstandings. This way, he provided testimony while preventing malicious people from spreading rumors.
I admired his thoroughness. But how could such a meticulous man “stumble” involve himself in this mess? Could it be…?
Was I so miserable that even this great man felt overwhelming sympathy?
My thoughts lingered, my eyes fixed on him, and this admiring gaze didn’t Jason clenched his fists.

The Winter and Cooper families remained silent. Tanner tried to make a scene, but Zane Cooper covered her mouth.
The guests nodded repeatedly, deeply convinced. The alpha of MoonCloud Pack, Shaw Family’s heir, Xander personally testifying for Sophia–what a statement! Even if I had truly been with eight men, even with concrete evidence, they would have to blind their eyes, cover their ears, and sew their mouths shut. To contradict him was to slap the heir in the face. But with the heir showing so much concern, then nothing must have really happened to me. Otherwise, even if I were a pitiful beauty, being “soiled” would never win the heir’s compassion.
“Thank you for saving my partner!”
Jason came over and put his arm around my shoulders, asserting his claim.
Before Xander could speak, I coldly pushed his hand away.“Mr. Winter, you have no right to thank him on my behalf! Besides, I’m not joking about the bonding severance. You’ve already signed the bonding severance agreement, and tomorrow noon is the last day of the cooling–off

Jason’s brain and heart felt like they were exploding. His voice was panicked and hoarse.”Are you really going to sever the bond with me?”
He didn’t believe it. I loved him so much; I wouldn’t leave him. I was just angry, trying to vent my
emotions.
Only an unwavering chill remained in my eyes.
I glanced at the time. “The Pack Enforcer will be here soon. Instead of worrying about the bonding severance, you should worry about your little candy and your mother. Of course, you can’t escape either. Your little candy said last night that you were involved.”
Jason’s eyes widened in disbelief.“You believe I would do that to you? I would never hurt you!”
I looked at him wordlessly, then suddenly laughed.“Never hurt me? How dare “Do you think I only just found out about you and Tanner?”
