Outside, the lights were brilliant, but my face was flushed. I turned my body and drank a large gulp of mineral water like I was drinking liquor.

Zane was confused in the front. Mistakes? Ms. Wells made a mistake? When? How come I didn’t know?
The car arrived at the marina. The driver stayed in the car, Zane and I followed Xander onto the yacht.
It was a luxurious three–story yacht, all white. The first floor was a business reception area, the second floor was the entertainment area with a large swimming pool, the third floor was the guest room area, and the top had a private area with a circular sofa.
Mr. Wang personally greeted us. He patted Xander’s arm, his wrinkled face beaming with a smile. His enthusiasm was chilling. Inside, there were about ten other people–wealthy and influential figures. Among them was a petite, charming girl with tan skin who had a contagious smile.
“This is my granddaughter, Vivian Wang. She’s twenty–one, just back from studying art overseas. She graduated from the same school as Mr. Shaw,” Mr. Wang introduced proudly.
Zane and I didn’t go inside; we waited on the deck, but we could see inside through the large glass windows. Seeing this, we exchanged glances… there’s a blind date happening.
Xander greeted her politely. Vivian couldn’t take her eyes off him, full of admiration. She was petite, less than five feet tall, looking up at the tall, handsome Xander, her heart pounding with
excitement.
“If I had known Mr. Wang had this in mind, the CEO wouldn’t have come,” Zane said helplessly.
“Mr. Wang can’t just say, ‘I invited you to introduce my granddaughter to you‘,” I said, arms crossed.“Besides, what if they both liked each other? Wouldn’t that be a good match?”
“That’s not the type the CEO likes.”
“How do you know?”
“I know-” Zane was speaking when he glanced at the dock, abruptly stopping and exclaiming, “Why is she here?!”
“Who?”
I couldn’t hear him clearly. I followed his gaze. A woman with shoulder–length bob hair was walking towards us. She was very slender, with a long neck, a small face, and a black satin slip dress, carrying a small black handbag. She looked as cold as a black swan.
“Anna Moore, the general manager of the branch here,” Zane said as he hurried over.
Ah, Anna Moore. I’d seen her name in the documents, but I didn’t know she was such a beautiful
woman.

“Ms. Moore.” Zane stopped Anna as she stepped onto the stairs.
“Zane.”
Anna coldly glanced at him.“Long time no see.”
As she turned to walk past Zane, she saw me, her eyes turning cold.“Who is this?”
I extended my
hand confidently.“Hello, Ms. Moore. I’m Sophia Wells, Mr. Shaw’s secretary.”

I don’t know if it was my imagination, but Anna’s face became even colder, a trace of sadness in her eyes.“Secretary, huh.”
Me:…
Anna didn’t shake my hand; she pushed past us, coldly walking inside.
“This Ms. Moore…” I looked at Zane in confusion.
Zane sighed.“She’s the daughter of a friend of Mrs. Shaw. She was raised in the Shaw Family and has… a complicated relationship with the CEO; a love–hate relationship.”
I understood.“Ah, I see.”
No wonder Xander went to MoonWind Pack first. The person he cared about was here.
sses really loved this money–burning game.
