We found a place to sit and got some sweets.
About an hour later, Xander called, asking us to come in. Zane and I immediately went.

The card room was filled with the smell of cigars. The wealthy people were sitting around the oval table; some were winning and elated, some were losing and bitter. Chips were piled on the table; the dealer was sexy and alluring, and servers served rounds of wine, champagne, and cigars. In the midst of calls of “call,““fold,” and “raise,” they were enacting what it meant to live in luxury.
Xander didn’t smoke, with a glass of champagne beside him, looking relaxed and out of place. Judging by his chips, he’d won a lot. No wonder he’s the youngest Alpha of MoonCloud Pack. Anna beside him seemed drunk, her head resting on her hand, looking drowsy.
“Take Ms. Moore out; she’s drunk.”
Xander commanded calmly.
Zane and I went to help her.
“I’m fine.” Anna waved us away.
We tried a few times but were waved away.
“Ms. Moore…”
Zane didn’t dare touch Anna, and I thought, since I’m a female omega, it’s okay. I put my arm around her waist to lift her.
“Don’t touch me there!”
As if she had touched a landmine, Anna violently pushed me away. Luckily, Zane was there to support her.
I was also a little shocked. Everyone in the room looked over.
Xander’s face was a little cold. He got up and personally helped Anna up, saying, “Take over for me.”
“…Okay.”
I pretended to be calm. In fact, I didn’t even know who he was talking to. Only Zane didn’t answer, so I did.
Xander took Anna out of the card room. Zane cast a worried look at me, thinking that I had never dealt with this kind of situation before, so he should take over.
Before he could say anything, I had already calmly taken a seat.
I looked at my hand, then the community cards. It would be easy to avoid losing, just fold, but I was now representing Xander; folding every hand… would demean him.
I quickly formulated a strategy in my head. I remained calm and collected on the surface, giving

off an air of expertise.
After playing for half an hour, I started cautiously, checking, folding, calling, and raising when my hand was strong. When the cards were good, Id raise the stakes, adding chips with steady precision, maintaining an unassuming presence. But after a while, my excitement grew. Both wolf and I were itching for a challenge.

I started betting boldly, winning a few rounds, and the rush of victory went to my head. When I saw the possibility of a royal flush, excitement got the best of me, and I almost went all–in. Zane, terrified, was desperately trying to stop her from behind…
‘Please, oh my Luna, if you lose now, you’ll owe the CEO even if you sell yourself!‘
‘I told you to wait, not to get carried away!‘
‘Secretary Wells, go check on the CEO, I’ll handle this,‘ Zane said, his smile as forced as if he had a piece of ginger in his mouth.
“No…”
“Don’t say no, just go!” He interrupted ME firmly.
Reluctantly, I stood up, my expression full of regret as glanced at the cards.
As I walked out, the few wealthy men in the room ogled me, their eyes following my every move. My face was stunning, my body slender yet full, and who would’ve thought I’d be so bold in a game of cards? Just the thought of possibly getting my number for a night of pleasure made them forget about their losses.
I was just a beautiful omega secretary. Surely, Mr. Shaw wouldn’t be stingy about sharing me.
I stepped out of the game room.
Zane’s words made me smile. The CEO was with Mr. Moore right now, who would be foolish enough to interrupt them at a time like this? Of course, I knew it was just an excuse. Grabbing a bottle of water, I sipped while heading toward the stairs to the third floor.
My head felt heavy, and I needed some fresh air.
As I stepped onto the third–floor deck, I walked near the round couch, turned my head, and without warning, saw the two of them seemingly kissing. Mr. Shaw’s back was to me, and Mr. Moore was on tiptoe, her arm wrapped around his neck…
Oh my god-!!
I choked on the water in surprise.
