Chapter 153
Annalise was surprised, a smile tugging at the corners of her mouth. “Can it really be done?”
“Sure, you can stay in my room,” I said, tidying up the dining table leisurely. “I will move to the laboratory to live.”
Annalise was a little flustered.“Stop joking around.”
“I’m not joking. I’m serious,” I said, setting down my words and carrying my plate into the kitchen, throwing the plate and the leftover egg dumplings into the sink. I didn’t bother to clean up. I turned around and left the kitchen, picked up my backpack from the living room sofa and walked out.
I left the house, entered the elevator, and my eyes became moist. My failed marriage, and busy work and studies had long overwhelmed me. Now, with Annalise added to the mix, I was really tired, so tired, I didn’t know how much longer I could hold on.
In the living room, Annalise happily walked out onto the balcony, hands behind her back. She leisurely stood outside, tilting her head back to bask in the sun, looking content.

When he saw Annalise on the balcony, his eyes darkened, and he asked in a cold voice, “What are you doing?”
Annalise heard him and walked in happily. “Mr. Barton, your secretary has come to report.”
Kaleb’s hand gripping the cup tightened, the veins on the back of his hand bulging. He spoke in an icy tone, ‘I words in one ear and out the other?” warned you last time, did my

“I am your secretary now, things have changed.” Annalise walked up to him, hands behind her back, speaking in a coquettish tone.“Besides, Katrina doesn’t mind, why do you mind?”
Kaleb sneered. If I didn’t mind, why wouldn’t I have eaten my breakfast and why were the dishes unwashed?
“Annalise, I really don’t understand you anymore. You tell lies without batting an eye or skipping a beat,” Kaleb walked to the dining table, stuffing all the breakfast she brought into a bag, and turned to throw it into Annalise’s arms, commanding sternly, “Get out.”
