Kaleb’s car was parked downstairs. Seeing me get out, he took the suitcase and casually threw it into the trunk. Then, he pushed me into the car. With a gloomy face, he stepped hard on the accelerator. The car started off at a high speed, and I didn’t expect him to be so impatient. Just as I fastened my seatbelt, inertia threw me back against the seat. Instantly, I felt a fiery pain in my back.
“Are you okay?” Kaleb glanced at me, seemingly casually asking.
I moved my shoulders and muttered, “I’m fine.”
Kaleb nodded slightly. With a hint of hesitation, he asked, “Then, what about your hand?”
I was slightly surprised and turned my head to look at him. In such a chaotic situation, he actually noticed the wound on my hand!
“It was an accident. I didn’t get the time to disinfect it, but it’s nothing serious,” I replied lightly.
But after a few seconds, a hidden compartment popped out in front of the passenger seat where I was sitting. There were wet wipes and other miscellaneous items inside. In the corner, there was also a small box of Band–Aids.
As I was slightly stunned, Kaleb’s cold voice suddenly echoed in the car.“We have already gotten on the highway. You may have to bear with it for now.”

I never expected that he would actually my wound. I quickly waved my hand and said, “I’m really fine. Just a Band–Aid will do.”
Kaleb seemed to really not care and didn’t respond to my words. Silently, I wiped away the bloodstains on my
doing all this, I couldn’t help but glance at Kaleb, who was hand and applied a Band–Aid to my wound. Aft focused on driving.
“Thank you…”
It started to rain in the sky at some point, and the raindrops hit the car window, bringing in a chill through the window crack. I shrank my shoulders. Kaleb and I were going through a divorce. But being locked in such a confined space with him was indeed a little embarrassing. However, if I were to start a conversation… What could two people with a broken relationship have to talk about?
The slight warmth that had just emerged in my heart dissipated instantly. My relationship with Kaleb had come to an end, and now it would be meaningless to try to maintain it.
