“Sure.” The male colleague put down the work in his hands and walked side by side with me, leaving the booth and heading towards the elevator. The two of us walked and chatted.
In another large exhibition hall. Kaleb’s face darkened, and he crumpled the paper in his hand before throwing it into the nearby trash can. The employees present were all frozen in fear, and the sales manager’s hands were trembling. Nervously, he swallowed hard and stood up from his position.“Mr. Barton, I have shown you the types, pricing, and quantity of the exhibits before… you agreed at that time.”
Kaleb snapped back to reality and glanced at the sales manager, then turned his attention to the crumpled product list in the trash can, quickly bending down to pick it up. As soon as his hand reached the top of the trash can, it felt dirty and couldn’t go down. He withdrew his hand and sat back in his seat, clearing his throat. “It’s not the exhibit that’s the problem, it’s just that this paper is a bit dirty.”
The sales manager breathed a sigh of relief and quickly pulled out a clean product sheet, handing it over with both
hands.
Annalise stood up from her position and looked around the exhibition. The decoration had been completed, the sales team had arrived, and the products had been displayed, all done perfectly. She reminded, “Mr. Barton, there is a sales manager in charge here, no problem at all. There is also a new project investment meeting at five o’clock in the afternoon.”
Kaleb’s slender fingers twirled the pen in his hand as he lowered his gaze to the product list on the desk. He
said, “The meeting has been postponed. You guys go back to the office first; I still have some things to take care of here.”
The entire staff was dumbfounded. You were the boss, only responsible for inspection, what else did you have to
do?
Annalise was puzzled, “There was nothing left to do here, let’s go.”
Kaleb looked up at her and asked, “Are you my
boss?”
“I dared not.”
Kaleb raised an eyebrow and snorted coldly, “I see you’re quite daring.”
