Chapter 216
The museum closed at six o’clock. After the clean–up, I helped my colleagues tidy up the booth and was so tired that I couldn’t even stand up straight. It was already 7 o’clock when we left the exhibition hall, and we hadn’t had dinner yet. Everyone was starving.
Giana suggested, “How about we go to a restaurant together and eat?”
“Sure, let’s go Dutch,” a colleague agreed.
Some colleagues were worried about their children at home, so they politely declined.
Giana held my hand and asked, “Katrina, what about you? Do you want to come with us to the nearby restaurant and then go home?”
“Sure!” I responded, speaking gently. “Let’s not go Dutch, after we finish the meal, let’s bring the receipt back to the company for reimbursement.”
“Thank you, Ms. Larson,” Giana smiled brightly.
The others were also very happy. A dozen or so people walked towards the restaurant.

The dim yellow light of the street lamp fell on him, dressed in a long–sleeved black shirt and black trousers. He had a tall and sturdy figure, with a handsome and elegant appearance. In the hazy atmosphere of the night, there was a faint sense of cold and noble temperament.
I stood still, my heart skipped a beat, a momentary daze, silently gazing at him.
“It was Kaleb,” Giana exclaimed in surprise.
Everyone stopped in their tracks and looked back.
“Who is it?” Professor Smith asked.
Giana turned around and whispered, “He is Katrina’s husband, the CEO of Wellbio Medical Corp, who introduced us to the business.”
Everyone understood it in their hearts. Kaleb closed the car door and walked towards me, nodding and politely greeting everyone. Then, with deep watery eyes, he gazed at me and whispered softly, “Is work over?”
I felt a slight nervousness in my heart, “Hmm.”
Professor Smith chuckled and quipped, “Mr. Barton, are you wanting to join us for dinner at the restaurant? Or are you here specifically to pick up your wife for a romantic evening together?”
