Chapter 65
Kaleb remained silent, his deep eyes like an abyss, silently gazing at me. I felt a bit flushed and inexplicably nervous as I was being watched. He had dominated the business world for many years, acting swiftly and decisively, exuding a powerful aura. Just one glance from him was enough to leave people breathless. Now that the two of us had different opinions and principles from each other, I felt that I probably had to give up.
“I came today to make another effort, hoping that you would consider investing less and taking a smaller share.” 1 paused and pursed my lips. After hesitating for a few seconds, I continued with a hard tone, “However, it’s also fine not to cooperate. I don’t want to be too deeply tied to you…”
I hadn’t finished speaking when Kaleb suddenly looked gloomy and forcefully interrupted in a deep voice, “Fine.”
I was stunned.
Kaleb added seriously, “I’ve had the assistant revise the contract. You have an absolute controlling stake of 51%, but the operational and pricing rights must be handed over to me.”
Unexpectedly, the twist came so suddenly. With excitement surging in my heart, I was overjoyed and discreetly pursed my lips into a slight smile, nodding in agreement.
Just then, Kaleb’s phone rang. Kaleb picked up the phone on the desk and glanced at it. With a slight frown on his forehead, he answered the call and put it to his ear.“What’s the matter?”
I didn’t know who was on the other end of the phone and what they said. I only saw Kaleb’s face suddenly darken. He stood up nervously, walking quickly toward the door, saying, “Where? I’ll go there right now.”
I looked on blankly as he went out of the office, anxious and flustered. He left me without saying a word. I could guess that the person calling was probably Annalise. At the moment, I felt both desolate and ridiculous.
