Miya raised her chin and looked at me with a smug expression.“Today, I went to the film set to stand in for someone, and coincidentally, I saw your husband visiting the popular actress Leyla. Surprising, isn’t it? On your wedding anniversary, he went to visit Leyla on set. After they finished filming, they went to a hotel together. For your sake, I followed them all the way, and I know which hotel they are currently staying in.”
Giana was shocked; her eyes widened and her mouth fell open. I stood still, as if I had been frozen, not looking at Miya, nor at the photo.
“Come on, I’ll take you to catch him red–handed,” Miya grabbed my arm and forcefully pulled me.“I know you love this scumbag very much. If you don’t see him cheating with your own eyes, you won’t give up. Come with me, let’s go catch him!”
I refused to move and was pulled a few steps, but I forcefully pulled my hand back and broke free from Miya’s tug. I didn’t believe a single word. But my heart felt like it was being tightly squeezed by a big hand, causing pain so intense that even breathing felt like swallowing razor blades, and my limbs and body felt stiff and numb. Tears quietly came, hidden in my eye sockets.
Giana noticed that something was wrong with me and quickly grabbed Miya, asking, “What do you want to do?” Miya shouted rudely, “Giana, you are her best friend, shouldn’t you have advised her to leave this scumbag? I told her the truth, why is it my fault?”
Giana retorted angrily, “This is Katrina’s private matter; she has her own thoughts. You don’t need to be so clever; taking these group photos doesn’t prove anything. Rumors and gossip always come about like this, don’t they?”
