Chapter 14
Cersei wasn’t hard to track down.
Everyone knew she was from London and had only stayed in New York for Louis’s sake.
Louis booked the first available flight to London and headed straight to the Blanchel estate.
One reason Philip had approved of Cersei was their equal social standing–the Blanchel family’s roots in London rivaled the Moore family’s influence.
Add to Cersei’s unwavering devotion to Louis. Not just caring for him personally but also sharing business connections.
That’s why Louis’s father had specifically asked him to try and win her back.
Everyone thought Cersei was just throwing a tantrum. They all believed that if Louis swallowed his pride and apologized, she’d come running back.
Both Louis and Rachel assumed this. But when Louis arrived at the Blanchel estate only to be stopped at the gate, he couldn’t believe it.
“Are you seriously? I’m Louis Moore. I’m here to see Cersei. Let me in. Since when does a butler make decisions for the Blanchel family?”
The butler firmly shook his head, blocking Louis’s path.
“Sorry, Mr. Moore, but these are the Blanchel family’s explicit instructions. Now that you’re divorced, neither Mrs. Blanchel nor Miss Cersei want to see you.”
“What the fuck?” Louis exclaimed, his voice rising in shock. He tightened his brow, not expecting that his first step in London would be blocked at the
door.
Just as he was about to react, the butler suddenly bowed.
“Welcome home, Miss.”
Louis turned around to see Cersei approaching.
Before he could feel any relief, he noticed a strange man beside her, holding her arm intimately.
His anger flared up as he marched over to them.
“What the hell, Cersei? I flew all the way here to find you, and this is how you act? Don’t you want us to get back together?”
The man gave Louis a smug look as Cersei’s previously smiling eyes turned cold.
“I never said I wanted to reconcile. I thought I made it pretty clear, Louis Moore. We’re divorced.”
Her words shocked him to the core. He’d never imagined their first meeting would go like this.
In his mind, she would eagerly agree to reconcile the moment he showed up.
It felt like a needle piercing his heart. He grabbed her wrist and yanked her toward him, his eyes icy with rage.
“Is it because of him? We’ve barely been divorced and you’ve already found someone new? What’s the deal, Cersei? Couldn’t get me in bed so you went looking for another dick? I never thought you’d be this desperate!”
He laughed mockingly, looking the man up and down.
“How many times have you fucked him already? If you come back and remarry me, I’ll even fuck you right now. Is that what you want?”
Before he could say more, Cersei wrenched her arm free and slapped him hard across the face.
Her eyes weren’t cold anymore, they burned with disgust and hatred.

Chapter 14
“Louis Moore, you fucking disgust me. You only came looking for me because of Rachel, didn’t you? Weren’t you desperate to be with her? Well, I’ve stepped aside for you two. What more do you want?”
So she knew all along!
Louis held his stinging cheek, his expression dark and unstable. Only now did he really look at Cersei.
In just two short months, she’d grown even more beautiful.
While Rachel had always been childlike, Cersei was different. She’s always elegant and composed. Now her presence was even more refined, nothing like the busy housewife he’d left behind.
He steadied himself and spoke calmly.
“Rachel is your best friend and my sister. Cersei, even if you want to cut ties with me, you shouldn’t hurt her.”
At the mention of Rachel, Cersei’s expression wavered slightly before she let out a self–deprecating laugh.
She had always considered Rachel her best friend, but how had Rachel treated her in return?
