Chapter 15
Since college, Cersei and Rachel had been friends.
Being alone in New York, Cersei treasured their friendship deeply. Even when she fell for Louis and kept facing rejection. She never let a man come between them.
But Rachel? She used Cersei as a cover for her forbidden love with Louis. She pushed her toward Louis who didn’t love her, letting her suffer endlessly.
All those “accidental” displays of affection? They were all deliberate.
Cersei had written it off as Rachel being spoiled. But now, free from that toxic environment, she finally saw the truth: everything had been a deliberate conspiracy against her.
She replied coldly. “Rachel and I stopped being friends the day I left.”
Her words triggered Louis and his tone became urgent.
“Rachel considers you her best friend! She thinks about you constantly! She worried about you every day. Even asked me to come find you after you left! Is this how you repay her?”
Faced with his accusation, Cersei remained eerily calm. But her words cut deep.
“If she really treated me as a friend, she wouldn’t have ignored me after I donated bone marrow to her. She wouldn’t have failed to visit me even once since I left. She only used me as a prop to showcase your forbidden romance.”
Remembering the past, a cold smile formed on her lips.
“Don’t bother coming after me again, Louis. We’re done.”
With that, she walked past him into the Blanchel mansion.
Louis couldn’t stop her, so he grabbed the man who was following her inside.
“Who the hell are you? Did you seduce Cersei? She was never like this before! What gives you the right to enter the Blanchel house?”
The man just smiled. Before he could answer, the butler spoke.
“Master Harvey, what would you and Miss Cersei like for dinner tonight?”
Louis’s jaw dropped in shock as he turned to see the man–he’d never heard of a Blanchel son.
While Louis processed this, Harvey leaned in closer.
“I’m adopted by the Blanchels, though they kept it quiet. The plan was for me to inherit the family business after you married my sister. But now that you’re divorced, Louis… What do you think I want? The business or my sister?”
Ás soon as Louis saw their closeness, his gut twisted. But hearing those words confirmed it–this guy liked his sister.
Louis’s eyebrows shot up as he instinctively barked.
“You’re in love with your sister? Does the Blanchel family know? That would never be allowed!”
Harvey raised an eyebrow.
“You even fuck your sister. So it’s okay for you to love Rachel but not for me to love Cersei? She’s divorced you now, so it’s none of your business. Worry about your own sister situation.”
With that, Harvey walked into the mansion.

Chapter 15
Louis tried to grab him but failed, forced to watch as Harvey walked intimately close to Cersei before sitting down to dinner with her.
And then the door slammed shut in his face.
Watching Cersei disappear from view, Louis felt something indescribable.
He’d never imagined another man would appear in Cersei’s life, let alone one so boldly staking a claim on her.
He pounded the door in frustration but got no response.
His chest ached. Why did seeing Cersei with someone else hurt so fucking much?
She was supposed to be just a tool. Without Rachel, he wouldn’t have given Cersei a second glance!
No matter how he tried to convince himself, an overwhelming sense of suffocation wrapped around his heart, refusing to let go.
