“Rachel and I are fucking siblings! You want us to never see each other again? What the hell is your game?” Louis exploded.
We came all the way here to find you, and that’s still not fucking enough? So what if you donated bone marrow to Rachel? That gives you the right to control our relationship?!”
His face contorted with rage. Cersei’s lips curled into a bitter smile.
She’d originally left quietly to avoid getting tangled up in their drama. But clearly, her consideration had been wasted on them.
She composed herself and looked them straight in the eyes.
“You call me your friend, Rachel, but did either of you visit me once after I donated my bone marrow? In all this time since I left, did you ever try to find me yourself?”
“And you, Louis–after all our years of marriage, did you ever feel anything for me? I was just a cover for your forbidden relationship. If you really love each other, then go get married.”
“Don’t come crawling back to me. Is that clear enough? I want nothing to do with either of you anymore!”
“Louis, I don’t love you anymore. And I don’t want to be friends with Rachel anymore.”
Her expression was dead serious as she finally spoke these words.
Without another glance, she turned to leave.
Louis stood frozen. Before he could reach out, Rachel grabbed Cersei’s arm.
“Wait, Cersei! Now that you know what happened, I know I fucked up. But you can’t control love! I genuinely wanted you to be with my brother at first. I knew you loved him, and that’s why I had him marry you–to fulfill your wish! I never expected things to end up like this.”
“I heard that your brother also wants to be with you, right? How about this: you remarry Louis, and I’ll marry your brother! That way, no one would ever know, and everyone saves face!”
Louis frowned instinctively. His sister marrying someone else? But if it meant getting Cersei back, maybe it was acceptable.
Before Cersei could laugh at this absurd suggestion, Harvey had already had enough.
He pulled Cersei into his arms and glared at them.
“What kind of bullshit are you talking? I’m going to be with Cersei openly. We won’t sneak around like you two cowards.”
His words struck a nerve. Rachel’s grip tightened, refusing to let go.
“I looked into you. You’re adopted, just like me, right? If it gets out that you’re in love with your own sister, Cersei will be fine, but you’ll be kicked out of the Blanchel family!”
“You’d lose everything you’ve worked for. Is that what you want? Why not take my advice? Yeah, it’s sneaky, but no one will know. You could have both the Blanchel fortune AND Cersei. Isn’t that better?”
Her quick words were met with nothing but disdain from Harvey.
“If I truly love her, I’ll never let her suffer. The Blanchel’s fucking wealth doesn’t matter. For Cersei, I’d give up everything–even endless wealth. All I want is to marry her openly, with everyone’s blessing.”
With that, he yanked Rachel’s hand away and led Cersei out.
Louis swallowed hard. Deep down, he’d always felt the same as Cersei.

Chapter 18
Seeing their determination now–whether as a lesson, revenge, or something else, he grabbed Rachel’s hand.
“Rachel, Harvey’s right. I love you. I’m tired of hiding. I’m willing to give up every penny of the Moore fortune if it means being with you.”
He tried to pull Rachel into his arms and hold her to make promises. But the usually obedient girl suddenly pulled away. Wild–eyed, her eyes red as she screamed at him.
“You’re the fucking son of the Moore family! Of course you don’t care! Dad would never let you suffer! But I’m just adopted–if I’m with you, I’ll lose
everything!”
“Louis, you make it sound easy, but do you know what it’s like to struggle? I fought so hard to become part of the Moore family. How can I just be kicked out because of you?”
Her outburst froze Louis’s heart.
He could tolerate Rachel’s temper, her reluctance to go public and even her pushing him toward Cersei. But he couldn’t accept that she didn’t truly
love him.
The color drained completely from his face.
“Rachel… do you really love me?”
