Chapter 47
Chapter 47
I looked at the sky. Has the sun risen from the Blanchel?
“No need.” I immediately refused.
Harvey’s face was already grim, and hearing my rejection made it even more unpleasant. “It’s not easy to get a taxi here. Why would you let the child endure the cold wind with you?”
I obviously won’t stand here enduring the cold wind. I had driven here. But it wouldn’t be safe to let Iris sleep on the car seat at will. Considering them. I finally stopped and followed Harvey into his car.
I noticed the wound on Harvey’s hand, and when he was about to open the car door for me, I stopped him. “Why don’t we switch places? You help me hold Iris in the back.”
“You know how to drive?” Surprise showed on Harvey’s face.
I didn’t just “know” how to drive. After four years in the Blanchel family, Harvey didn’t even know that I could drive, which was enough to show how little attention he paid to me. I didn’t say much, just nodded and took the keys from him.
Harvey didn’t say anything and got into the car. When I handed Iris to him, he was completely awkward.
“Holding her head is enough.”
Harvey raised his arms a bit higher, supporting the little head against his chest. He didn’t dare to move. When he looked down and saw the rosy face of the child leaning against his chest, with her hair flowing, a soft sensation passed through his heart.
I remained silent, got into the car, and skillfully started the engine. Not wanting Harvey to know my location, I drove to a convenient spot to call a taxi and then stopped. “We’re here, thank you.”
After saying that, I hugged Iris from his arms and walked away.
“Cersei!”
From behind, Harvey called my name. “I owe Iris, and I will make it up to her, but my child will never need someone else as a father, that’s for sure!”
“I’m really curious, how will Mr. Harvey make it up to Iris?” I stopped and half–smiling, looked at him.
“Tomorrow I will have our divorce quashed, you move back to the Blanchel house, and I will try to spend as much time as possible with Iris.”
“Annulment of divorce?” Harvey said this, and I was quite surprised. “Mr. Blanchel made this decision, does Miss Willis agree?”
“Why would she agree?” Just confronting me, Harvey’s tone becomes rather impatient.
“You two are engaged, this is the least respect for your fiancée.”
When I got to kindergarten, Cathy showed me a picture of Harvey at their engagement.
It is also because of that photo that parents all think that Cathy is Harvey’s legitimate wife.
“Huh? Engaging?” Harvey was obviously surprised, but he didn’t bother much and said, “Just follow my instructions, you don’t need to worry about anything else!”
I have long been used to Harvey’s arrogance. I didn’t get angry but tilted my head. “Then I have a question that you might care more about. Does Mr. Blanchel want to cancel the divorce decision because you love me?”
“All I’m doing is to give my child a complete family!” Harvey didn’t think much and threw out a warning.
“Just that?”

Chapter 47
I burst into laughter in front of him.
“Do you really think having both parents is the best way for a child’s comprehensive development?”
“You’ve never experienced growing up in an incomplete family, so how would you know this type of family is not good?”
“Since I was young, I didn’t have a mother. My father raised me alone, but I’ve never felt pitiful.”
“He gave me all his love and only asked one thing from me, which is to live happily.”
“But our marriage has lasted for four years. Now Iris is three years old. Let me ask, has the little one been happy in the past three years?”
“She’s afraid that you’re not happy, afraid that your mother is not happy, afraid that your younger sister is not happy, afraid of upsetting me, and she’s even afraid that I won’t be happy.”
“To avoid making others unhappy, she tried her best to behave well and obediently to the extent that she didn’t dare to perform her favorite dances!”
“Do you still want her to stay in such a dull environment? Do you want to drive her insane?”
Upon hearing this, I couldn’t help but choke up.
“All of these things can change,” Harvey didn’t think it was a big deal.
“What if they change? It’s undeniable that you don’t love me. How will Iris feel in the future? She might think that it’s because of her existence that we are bound to each other. She’ll think she’s to blame!”
Harvey: “…”
Before I mentioned this, he thought it was the best way to make it up to Iris.
“Harvey, don’t worry, I will take good care of Iris.”
His arm was hurting from holding Iris for too long, and he lowered his head and walked away.
Third–person perspective
Harvey didn’t go home but headed to Cathy’s place.
Seeing Harvey, Cathy’s eyes lit up, and she jumped up, “Harvey, you’re here, come in.”
Harvey didn’t budge, just placed his phone in front of her, “Quickly delete this photo.”
Cathy looked down and saw the post on her social media alluding to her engagement.
“I’m really sorry, Harvey. I just missed the old days, found this picture, and felt happy, so I posted it.”
She hurriedly explained while secretly observing Harvey’s expression.
“Remembering it reminds me, it’s all Cersei’s fault. If she hadn’t spoken too quickly and made me unable to get on stage, we wouldn’t have broken
up…”
“The matter between you and me has never had anything to do with Cersei.” Harvey coldly reminded.
Tonight, he didn’t want to hear that name again.
“Besides, we broke up long ago. Now we’re just friends.”
After saying that, he turned around and walked outside.
Rehind him, Cathy tightly clenched her fingers, her beautiful face contorting.
iting for the results.

She thought they both had the same plan, but now it’s clear that Harvey wants to clarify things between them
Could it be that Cersei set a trap?
As she was pondering, her phone suddenly rang.
Cathy was annoyed, but she still answered the call.
A slow and deliberate voice came from the other end, “Do you know what interesting thing I heard past now? Harvey, with his cold demeanor, is now requesting his ex–wife to cancel the divorce application.”
“Because of the feelings we’ve had for years, let me remind you, this time, don’t let your man slip away again, okay?”
