I held back my sorrow and opened the chat history.
The conversation was filled with countless photos, over a thousand, all of them of Elon and
the child.
I vaguely recalled when my son was born, I had suggested taking a family photo.
He casually dismissed me, saying, “little one is still so young, no need for a family photo.
We can take one when he’s older.”
I naively thought he didn’t like taking photos, so I only dared to sneak one while he was asleep, holding the baby beside him for a quick shot.
But now I realize, it wasn’t that he didn’t like photos.
He just didn’t like my child.
My fingers trembled as I scrolled through the photos.
By chance, I came across a video sent the night before my son’s birthday party.
My son was being pinned down and bullied by Eva’s child.
In the video, Natalie’s voice, full of resentment, could be heard crying out:
“Elon, Natalie’s son fights back even though he’s so small. When he grows up, who knows
what he’ll do to our child!”
“I’m so worried, what should we do?”
I trembled all over, almost dropping my phone.
My son hadn’t done anything wrong, yet because of Eva’s words, his life had been ruined.
I bit my lip, trying to suppress the flood of hatred.
Such a man was filthy and disgussting. I didn’t want him anymore.

My heart felt cold as I tossed the phone aside and called my senior, asking him to help me find a rehabilitation hospital.
By the time Elon returned to the room, I had already booked flights for me and the child for three days later.
He didn’t notice my swollen, tear–streaked eyes, only grinning excitedly as he pulled me toward him.
“Natalie, tomorrow I want to hold a new birthday party for little one.”
“I’ll also announce that we’re adopting a child. How about it?”
I froze for a moment, then remembered seeing a note in his phone’s calendar.
Tomorrow was the birthday of his and Eva’s child.
I said nothing, only nodding with a cold expression.
Since I was about to leave, I decided to say goodbye properly.
The next day, just before noon, as the luncheon was about to begin, Elon finally sent someone to pick me up from the hospital.
As soon as I entered the hotel, a scene in front of me pierced my eyes.
Eva, dressed in a high–end gown, was holding her child, greeting the guests alongside Elon.
And my little one was casually thrown on the floor, covered in dirt.
Elon didn’t even glance at him.
He didn’t notice little one picking up a half–eaten bun from the floor and shoving it into his mouth.
I immediately felt my eyes well up with tears and rushed over to pick up the child.
Before I could say anything, Elon grabbed my arm and pulled me into the lounge.
“Natalie, there are many important people here today. With little one’s condition, I’m

worried he might get scared. How about you two rest here for now?”
Even though he was trying to hide it, I could still see the disdain in his eyes.
I looked outside and saw on the digital screens in the lobby, his photos with Eva’s child flashing.
On the stage, many expensive gifts were stacked up.
None of them were for little one.
Even the giant cake had a name on it that wasn’t little one’s.
Elon followed my gaze, and only then did he realize how wrong he had been.
He hugged me, awkwardly explaining:
“Natalie, don’t misunderstand. Eva can’t bear to part with the child. I’m doing all this to
reassure her and let her know she can trust us with the child:”
Ftugged at the corners of my mouth, but couldn’t manage to smile.
Before he could say anything more, Eva’s son barged in, grabbing his leg.
“Dad, didn’t you say you had lots of gifts for me? Take me to see them!”
Elon didn’t even look at me or little one. With a look of affection, he picked up the child and walked away.
I collapsed helplessly onto the couch, disheartened, holding little one in my arms.
Not until the party started did Elon return.
Realizing he wouldn’t think of us, I tried to leave with little one.
Just as I stood up, Eva appeared in front of us, holding her child by the hand.
She smiled gently, but there was a hint of provocation in her eyes.
“Natalie, doesn’t it feel awful to be abandoned?”

“Look at your stupid son, how can he compare to my Christian Gray!”
“By the way,
was forced to drink the liquor, he cried so it’s pitiful. That day, when h terribly, and the assistant was trembling. In the end, it was Elon who did it himself!”
“Even if you’re Mrs. Gray, so what? Your son is still a fool because of a single word from
me!”
She laughed, her malice unhidden.
I trembled with fury, my lips bleeding as I bit them, forcing myself to suppress my hatred.
But the next moment, she suddenly grabbed her own child and slapped him hard across the
face twice.
The child’s face immediately turned red and swollen, and his heart–wrenching cries filled
the room.
Before I could react, Elon stormed in.
With a face full of concern, he rushed to grab the child, glaring at me with bloodshot eyes:
“Natalie, what the hell is wrong with you, hitting such a small child?!”
