Chapter 7
I sent everyone away.
I took the boy to my childhood painting studio.
The room was dim. I leaned close to his ear and said, “Your painting is beautiful. I really
like it.”
The air was filled with an ambiguous darkness.
My custom gown got caught, and I groaned. Elias frowned, “What’s wrong?”
My voice was anxious, “I think my gown’s zipper is broken. Can you check for me?”
Elias didn’t move. “I’ll call a girl in for you.”
“No.” I grabbed his wrist, whining, “Just close your eyes and pull it up for me.”
After much persuasion.
He finally agreed.
He reached for my back, but the zipper had somehow fallen to my tailbone, exposing a large area of smooth skin.
His hand trembled slightly.
He seemed unable to find the zipper’s position..
Footsteps hurried outside the door, my parents‘ voices coming through, apparently looking for me, who had disappeared from the birthday party.
I curled my lips, screamed loudly, “What are you doing? Help! Someone’s trying to rape
me…”
I had already locked the door.
People outside heard the screams and anxiously banged on the door.

Chapter 7
The blood drained from Elias’s face, leaving him pale. He covered my mouth, “Lily Taylor, why?”
I showed a crazed expression, “To destroy you.”
Having said that, I pinched the skin on my body.
Bruises gradually appeared, as if I had really been abused.
The door was kicked open.
Light suddenly fell on Elias and me. Tears streaked my face, my expression terrified. Elias stood nearby, his fist clenched.
All the relatives, friends, classmates, and teachers were there…
My father glared viciously at Elias, while my mother wrapped a coat around me as I cowered in the corner.
They asked, “Lily, what happened?”
I pointed at the thin boy, “He said he wanted to see my childhood paintings. After entering the room, he pulled up my dress…”
My parents were furious.
They didn’t even give him a chance to speak.
The police took Elias away. As he passed by me, he pleaded, “Faye has a fever. Please, go check on her.”
I pretended not to hear the boy’s plea.
My gaze fell inch by inch on the scene of him being taken away by the police, and the hatred in my chest suddenly dissipated.
In this life, Elias Stone was still too young; anyone could clip his wings.

Chapter 7
The philanthropist who had sponsored Elias’s college education in the previous life
happened to be at this birthday party. After this incident, Elias completely lost his chance for sponsorship.
From now on.
He would have no benefactors.
The birthday party ended.
This grand coming–of–age celebration was broadcast in every corner of the city. Still in my gown, I had the driver take me out.
The car stopped in front of a dilapidated alley.
A little girl stood at the door, her face red from the cold, oblivious to the snowflakes falling on her shoulders. She seemed to be waiting for someone.
Hatred flashed in Faye’s eyes, but her voice was sweet: “Sister, where’s my brother?”
Phad one leg in the car and beckoned her over.
“Your brother?”
“He doesn’t want you anymore. He’s going to be with me forever.”
“How could Elias Stone like a little beggar?”
I smiled viciously, speaking these cutting words one by one. The little girl suddenly lunged like a small wolf and bit me.
I pushed her away.
Told the driver to leave.
That night, I slept soundly.
In my dreams, there were no cruel words from Elias, no deliberate provocations from the mistress.
