Chapter 13: Vote–1
Our sweet adorable little angel would probably kill her cousin given less than half a chance. – Sinner
Priscilla tapped her phone screen and then the fight appeared on the oversized screen on the wall. “This is from last October. It was a charity fight, but see how she hits and then she spins around her opponent, quick kidney punch and then she’s back where she was and boom, boom, upper cut and leg sweep.” Priscilla walked them through several more clips, giving play by play commentary on them.
“Why did you call her the devil?” someone asked.
“It’s from her signature move. She spins around her opponent just like the Tasmanian Devil does.” The teen explained even though she thought that it was obvious.
“I wasn’t always as big as my cousins. I had to learn how to fight dirty.”
“And she can hit.” Knuckles said and his brother agreed.
“Damn straight she can.” Priscilla said pulling up video from last night’s fight. “Watch this. BOOM! Fucking bitch goes down!”
“Priscilla Marie Lowery!” Molly boomed.
“Sorry, daddy.” The girl said looking ashamed as she focused on her feet. She didn’t see her father’s grin.
“Can I have, her leading a cheering section at my next fight in two weeks?” Taz asked hopefully.
“That’s between you and her father.” Toad said. “But what the club needs to decide, is if we’re going to help you. You train at the Phoenix, right?”
“Yes. Typically, 6 to 7 times a week. Trainer fees are typically $50 a day. Then I also do weights at the gym over on Crumpton Street. Yoga and palates at Tilly’s and gymnastics at Studio A. Majority of my paycheck goes to gym and fight fees. Which is why I work everyday.”
“How much do you spend on gym fees every month?” Buck, the treasurer, asked writing on a notepad.
“A little over 2000 a month. Not including any type of therapy, massages or insurance.” She answered. “On runs me another 500.”
pical month, that
“That’s car insurance for the pickup?”
“That’s the bare basic insurance that I need to work out at the gyms.
“Her pickup and bike are still on my policy.” Brute added.
“What about fight fees?” Buck pressed.
Shrugging her shoulders, Taz explained all the fees and costs as best she could.
“If you want to see our dad get pissed off, ask how much she spends on supplements.” Scrapper gave her a knowing look. She glared at both of her cousins as Knuckles added, “Then ask how much she spends on food.”
This had been a long–time fight between them. They didn’t understand that since she didn’t eat meat every day, her grocery bill was lower than what they thought it should be. But now, she ate at the Shell for free, and she had been going to breakfast with Riffraff every morning. Her glare slowly shifted as she grinned at them.

Chapter 13: Vote–1
“About 350 in supplements and vitamins. I eat for free at the Shell and I’ve been going to breakfast with one of the brothers in the mornings. He always pays before I can. I guess you could say my food bill for the last few weeks has been about 10 bucks.”
“Going? As in meet him there? Or on the back of his bike?” Scrapper asked. He had always been more controlling and condescending than Knuckles. Maybe that was why she and Knuckles had a better relationship.
“Which one would piss you off more?” she grinned and he stepped towards her.
“To quote the girl, fucking bitch goes down.” Brute said stepping between his son and niece. “She could lay you out when you were kids, pretty sure she could knock you out now. It’s her life, let it be

Devil’s Saints: Taz
Chapter 13: Vote–2
“He’s more worried about collecting on the wager as to when I start having sex again. What’s my pussy worth now?”
“Well, hell, you pretty well fucked every brother. I guess it was time to find a new clubhouse.” Scrapper sneered at her.
Brute held his hands up in surrender and stepped back. They both went at each other and he swung at her ribs knowing they would be sore after the fight. She took the hit and grunted before swinging hard for his temple. Eyes rolling back in his head he fell to his
side, knocked out cold. Her focus turned to her other cousin.
“I could care less who you fuck.” Knuckles said with a shrug. “Go after the bunnies too. But, if I have to kill another man for raping you, I will.”
“Not everyone knew what happened.” She growled.
Knuckles walked over ånd tugged on braid. “But now everyone knows what will happen if they hurt you.”
“I don’t drink anymore.” Taz pointed out.
“And she can knock your brother out.” Toad said looking at Scrapper on the floor.
“Someone needed to do it.” Brute admitted. “Are you okay, Taz?”
“I don’t like my shit being thrown out there. But I’ll survive.” She leaned into her cousin who wrapped his arms around her and held her head to his shoulder. Her hands clutched his shirt under his cut to keep them from shaking.
Knuckles felt the change in her when Taz got control over herself. Her breathing calmed, hands steadied and she shook off his light embrace. He smiled at her and murmured, “There’s my Devil.”
“I’m good.” She let go of him and stepped away.
Toad looked at her and she nodded as Knuckles went back to sit in the chair close to where his brother still lay.
“Buck, do you have any other questions?” Toad asked.
“You basically make enough money to fight.” Buck said.
– “Pretty much. My room was 75 a week and that included utilities. Cheap prepaid phone. Then just about everything else goes to
fights. Or training for fights.” Taz gave a little smile. “Think of it as my addiction.”
“Priscilla, how is she in the rankings?” Molly asked his daughter.
“The last few months she has been climbing like crazy. She’s listed as one of top ten new fighters to wateh.”
“I am?” Taz asked a little surprised.
“After last night’s fight.” Priscilla grinned.
“Damn. I didn’t know that I was even on anyone’s radar.”
Priscilla handed over her phone with a website pulled up. “Roxio says that he expects to see you in a Bellator fight within the year.”
“Holy shit. Alexander Roxio wrote an article about me.” She scrolled down and saw a picture of herself from the fight. “Fuck me! He was at the fight!”

Chapter 13: Vote–2
“I guess Alexander Roxio is a good thing?” Absalom asked.
“Huge.” Brute and Knuckles said at the same time as Taz sank onto the floor to read the article.
Priscilla chuckled. “If Roxio says Bellator should pay attention, they do.”
“She sounds like a good investment.” Buck said looking at the notepad and his tablet. “Not just because she’s a hell of a fighter. But she’s my friend’s daughter.”
Taz looked up from the phone and smiled at him.
“Anyone have any other questions?” Toad asked looking around. No one had any questions or objections. Before she could leave, the vote was done and she found herself back on the floor fighting back tears. The key to her dream had just been put in her hand.
“Thank you.” Taz told the room in general.
“Bring us a belt.” Toad said with a nod.
