Chapter 22: O’Malley Brothers
Law? That shit is simple. Love? That’s what makes life complicated. And completely awesome.
Celt
The meeting at the law office took longer than Taz had expected. And it did not go how she had anticipated. She certainly did not expect to walk into a large office and find a Saint making out with one of the girls from her gym. Mia climbed off his lap and then gave him a little peck on his lips.
“You going home?” Celt asked the woman, holding onto her hand.
“Bear and Laura are there. She’s picking up the twins. I thought that would go upstairs.” She gave him a smile. “You hungry? I thought I might make dinner here tonight.”
“I’m hungry. But not for food.” He admitted with a knowing smile. “Order a pizza.”
Mia turned her attention to Taz. “You’re not in trouble, are you?”
“No. Bellator sent-”
Mia squealed and threw her arms around Taz. “Congratulations!”
“Thanks.” Taz said giving her a little squeeze.
“How excited is Kevin?” Taz paled at the question. “You haven’t told him?”
“No.” she said guiltily. “I got a little distracted.”
“Little?” Toad said with a laugh. “You attacked Riffraff like you were going to rape him.”
Taz blushed and Mia swatted Toad’s arm. “Leave them alone. They have something to celebrate.” She turned her attention back to the man behind the desk. “Don’t be too late.” With a wink she walked out of the office, closing the door behind her.
“I guess everything is going good?” Toad asked sitting in one of the chairs in front of the large desk.
“It is.” Celt said motioning for Taz to sit in the other chair. “How’s everything at the Shack?”
“Good. A little exciting, right now.” He nodded towards Taz. “Did you get anything yet?”
“It’s coming by courier. But I got the electronic copies. Not my forte. Having Donovan look over them. He does more business.” Celt looked at Taz. “Got any money on you?”
“No.” she answered confused when Toad handed her a five–dollar bill “Apparently, I have five dollars.”
“Excellenti” Celt held his hand out for it. “That will be your retainer He explained accepting the bill. “Anything that you tell me can be claimed under attorney client privilege. You don’t want me to talk about it, I can’t. You want to talk to someone and it not get around the clubhouses, we’ll kick Toad out. Then you can tell me what’s going on between you and Riff.”
She gave a little laugh. “Hell, I don’t even know what’s going on there. It’s complicated, to say the least.”
“You want me to leave?” Toad offered. “I will. But I would much rather hear this.”
“Just don’t go blabbing everything, but considering that I attacked him in the clubhouse bar, I’m sure everyone has heard about it by now.” She shook her head. “I can’t believe I did that.”
“I can’t believe that you two have kept the club wondering if anything was actually going on between you two for so long.” Celt

added with a shrug.
“He keeps saying that he’s too old for me. But I feel so comfortable and relaxed with him. I sleep better when I’m with him. And just sleep. We’ve not had sex yet. Just about everything shy of actual sex. And why the hell am I telling you two this?”
“Because you need to talk to someone about it.” Toad suggested.
“Maybe.” She agreed.
“Why don’t you talk to some of the women? Mia? Or Becks? I’ve heard rumors that Dom is a woman also. But her suggestions may include one of you being tied up” Celt suggested.
“What do I say?” She asked quietly with tears in her eyes and voice. How do you know if you’re falling in love with a man who keeps telling you not to because he’s too old for you? But then treats you like his woman like he didn’t just warn you off?”
Toad rubbed her back as Celt came around the desk and knelt in front of her. Taking her hands in his, he waited until she looked at
him.
“I’ve seen the way that he treats you.” Celt said softly. “And I’ve seen the warnings that he gives the other brothers. But I’ve also heard him deny that there is anything serious between you two. If he’s telling you that he’s too old for you, my guess is that he’s trying to convince himself.”
“But why?”
“Because God gave men two heads, but we can only use one at a time.” Toad said.
“And we’re stupid.” Celt added. He gave a little chuckle. “Mia’s son told me to either get serious with his mom or get out. He wasn’t going to watch his mom cry over an idiot.” Taz gave a small smile. “He’s ten.”
There was a knock at the door just before Donovan walked in. “Sorry, I’ll come back.”
“Don’t worry.” Celt told his brother. “We’re just commiserating how stupid men are.”
“Oh, damn, we dumb.” Donovan said walking in and closing the door behind him. He smiled as he walked over to the desk. “Shit, you’re the Devil. I just binged some of your fights. Whoever the idiot is, beat the hell out of him.”
She gave a little laugh. “He would let me.”
“Awesome. When you do, Celt can get you off. Emotional distress. I can testify I saw you breaking down in his office.” Donovan went and sat behind the desk and pulled up the file on the computer. He printed it and then started going over the contracts
