Chapter 38: Molly
Wine and chocolate will cure anything. Unless it involves a man. Then you need a shovel and an alibi. – Becks 1
Becks handed Taz a water bottle as she sat crying on the couch. All the kids, Priscilla included, had been sent to Yvonne’s house for a movie. Tammy and Alicia sat on either side of Taz on the oversized brown sectional. Yvonne stood in the doorway, unsure of what to do. Michaela had gone with the kids, her post pregnancy hormones making it impossible for her to quit crying.
There was the rumble of a bike outside and Yvonne rushed over to open the door.
“Hey, pretty.” He smiled at her and offered her a kiss. “How are all my pretties? Whose pickup is outside?”
Yvonne leaned into his chest and took the comforting hug he offered. “It’s Taz’s pickup.”
“She here to see Priss?” He asked trying to walk around her.
“You haven’t been at the clubhouse, have you?” she stopped him with the whispered
question.
This time, he actually looked at her and saw the stress and uncertainty in her traditional Hispanic features. He cupped her cheek, making sure to stay away from her perfectly
combed Paige boy haircut. She hated her hair messed with, and he respected her wishes. She was already in Star Wars pajamas with Yoda on her t–shirt. She barely reached the
middle of his sternum which told him that she was barefoot.
“No, I haven’t. What’s wrong, my pretty?”
Tears filled her eyes. She had always been sensitive to others pain, feeling it just as deeply as they did. “Riffraff broke up with Taz.”
“Why?”
“Knuckles said that he kept saying that he was too old for her.” The tears began to slip down her cheeks. “She hasn’t said anything. Just sits there and cries.”
“Where are the little pretties?” he asked wrapping her back up in his arms.

Chapter 38. Molly
“Watching a movie over at my house with Michaela.”
“Why don’t you pretties go watch it also. I’ll take care of Taz.”
She nodded and accepted the kiss that he offered before they walked into the living room of the main house. Molly greeted and kissed each of his women. Once that was done, they all slipped out of the room and then the house.
Molly scooped Taz up and sat down with her on the couch. She settled in his lap and clung to his shirt as the tears continued to flow. Michaela came over for her kisses. Then
she left their partner alone with the heartbroken young woman. Every so often he brushed
a kiss on her head and offered words of comfort. Not once did he tell her not to cry or to let go of his shirt.
“Let it out, darling.” He murmured as he looked at the message that just came through his
phone.
Toad: You home yet?
Molly: I am. Have a sad devil on my lap. WTH????
T: Riff thinks he’s too old for her
M: Just now decided this?
T: Woman at the radio station caused issues
T: Taz caught her trying to show him her tits. He was oblivious
T: She called hiìm Taz’s dad and he flipped. Taz was to upset over the tits to notice
M: Both are upset over different things and to upset with each other to talk
T: Yup. Absalom talked to him earlier
M; There’s a man that knows what it feels like to let a woman walk away
T: Yeah, I told Riff to go on a run with you tomorrow
M: I don’t have a run tomorrow

Chapter 38: Molly
T: Don’t care where you go. Get him out and make him listen
T: Brothers are pissed at him for making her cry
M: Someone should say that they want to patch her
T: That would kill him
M: Or make him wise the fuck up
T: 7:30
M: I’ll be there
Molly sat the phone down and ignored the other messages. He had seen several pop up while he was talking to Toad. Brothers were telling him that Riffraff had fucked up. Others were checking on Taz after they found out where she was.
“What did I do wrong?” Taz finally asked quietly.
“Nothing, sweetheart.” Molly wrapped his arms around her a little tighter and kissed the top of her head. “This is his issue. He’s got to get past this, or it’s not going to matter how
much you two love each other, it won’t work.”
“How do you keep all your pretties happy?”
“I don’t. They get upset with me. With each other. And I get upset with them.” He offered her the bottle of water and this time she took a drink. “Grandad used to say that a marriage was two people falling in and out of love with each other. I just upped the
scale.”
“That doesn’t sound like a good marriage.” Taz contemplated his statement. “Falling in
and out of love.”
“The key, is not to fall out of love at the same time.”
